2,653 miles of the PCT, three years of van-life, and several overseas backpacking trips. Still holding up great, worth the price; you’ll have it for years and it helps with drying.

This seems like a good idea and quality construction. But… I’m not sure why this is so small. It’s not big enough to even fit a normal size bar of soap so it’s pretty pointless. Will be returning.

Essential to any dopp kit

I got tired of constantly refill my Cadence container with body wash, and in an effort to reduce waste I made the switch to bar soap. This has been on my radar for a while but I was skeptical. It's a lot to spend to cart some soap around. But then I read a review on Wirecutter and they compared it to other container types including a standard ziploc bag and I figured, why not give it a try. It's great. So great that my partner wants one for his dopp kit too. It keeps the soap contained and allows it to dry out. It's been very helpful as we've been running back and forth to the gym and our friend's shower while our bathroom is going through a remodel.

My favorite new item for travel

I have switched from liquid shampoo and conditioner to solid bars. This blue Matador FlatPack soap bar case is my second - I already had a black one - and I use them when I travel. My body soap goes in the black one, shampoo and conditioner in the blue one. I wish they would also make this in the green color (see the Matador "bottles" that they sell in a set of three with black, blue, and green) so I could separate the shampoo and conditioner. The cases are wonderfully light weight and work beautifully, exactly as described. After putting the bar inside and closing up the top like a dry bag, I wipe down the outside. Then it can go in my regular little toiletries bag, freeing up space in my 3-1-1 bag for other things.

Genius product. I have taken it with me to the BWCA and traveled and it makes my soap last so much longer. 12/10 would recommend.

Great for a shampoo bar

I wanted to write a little something about this soap case: after 200+ miles on the AT, it's excellent. I carry a small block of shampoo bar in it, and I wet the soap when I need to wash my hands, clean my very greasy hair on trail, wash out my underwear, or even my pits if they are are stinky. I put my wet soap back in this bag, and clip the bag to the outside of my pack to dry in the sun. In a few hours the soap is dry again and ready to go! I love this thing, it's an excellent product.

Awesome for Traveling

I wanted a bar soap container that was compact, would not leak, and let water out without soaking my bag. I needed a bar of soap because of airline travel would allow me to carry more soap if it was a solid for a two plus week trip. I did not have time to let the bar dry after every use. This product exceeded my expectations. It does all that I expected and more. I am getting another one for my other travels with unscented soap. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it.

One of the best toiletry accessories

I've been using a plastic sandwich bag to carry around bar soap for years like a chump. Soggy and risk of puncture, I decided to splurge for this purchase of something I didn't think I needed until I bought it. The main thing that convinced me to purchase was the note about breathability which doubles as an air freshener basically which you can put in your bag! I prefer bar soap to body wash, solids in general for traveling, and no leakage, perfect size, and if you get a nice scented soap and put open in your bag it will smell amazing. Great especially for hiking or otherwise if you have stink clothes or shoes. Great material, very durable, breathable, roll top allows you to clip to the outside of your pack if you want but put anywhere inside your pack, just make sure it's not dripping. One of the best toiletry accessories I've purchased that I didn't know I needed.

Lush Shampoo Bar Win!

I use Lush shampoo bars and have been constantly frustrated with goopy bars and the wasted product. I initially got this just for the gym, but I'm using it constantly now. It eliminates so much waste, and it dries it beautifully. I couldn't be happier.

Great little bag!

I have 3 and really love the convenience and ease. I would like to see different colors for different items, such as bar soap, shampoo and conditioner. I used a fabric pen and wrote on the outside of each so I could quickly tell my products apart since this is only offered in 1 color. I gave one to my daughter who travels with a soft sided bag and she did mention her bar did break but otherwise she loves it too,

Great little pak

This is my second matador flatpak, and I have to say it is my go to item in my purse or backpack. The first pak I bought in 2019. I still have the first pak, but realized it would be nice to have a second as the black color is more easily misplaced. I use it daily, as I have a skin allergy to a synthetic preservative in 90% of liquid soaps. I prefer smaller bar soaps in the pak. The pak folds nicely and has traveled with me to every continent (except Antarctica).
