Waistband too snug/no give

Bought these in a medium (I have OR's Zendo pants in medium and those are a perfect fit for me). As others have mentioned, they were nearly impossible to get over my hips. Once on, they were pretty much a perfect fit, but the waistband has virtually NO stretch. If the waistband had some give, or if the shorts had a zipper fly, I would absolutely love these shorts as the material is awesome and the fit is comfy and exactly what I like in a pair of shorts once they were on! As it was, I had to return them because I was afraid they would get ripped pulling them over my hips if I tried to keep them and wear them, and I think a large might be easier to get on but would not be as good a fit otherwise.

Zero stretch in waist

If there's zero stretch in a waistline it needs a zipper, which this does not have. It was nearly impossible to get these over my hips.. I'm well within the size medium measurements according to the size chart. Once past the hips they feel good, but I'm not going to make myself struggle every time and maybe rip them.. I heard a few threads snapping when pulling them back off... these might work if you have narrow hips in comparison to the rest of your measurements, otherwise no. I don't know why I didn't heed the other reviews saying the same thing about the waist..

not enough stretch in the waist

I love the idea of these shorts, and once i managed to get them on they fit fine. However, it was a serious struggle to get them up over my thighs and butt (which are not tiny but also not huge!). Given how roomy the leg of the short is it was not a sizing issue. Not worth the struggle to take them on and off, so unfortunately i am returning them. For reference- I ordered a small, which is my usual size for active wear (5'8" 125lbs, pant size 27/4). If these shorts are redesigned to have a stretchy waist i will definitely re-order!

Waistband isn't stretchy

I purchased the shorts in my usual size, extra small in the nimbus colour. I love the colour and was very excited to try them on...but quickly realized the shorts don't have an elastic waist band and unfortunately, I wasn't able to get them up past my thighs! Very disappointed that I couldn't at least try them on all the way. I will be ordering them in a small, which I'm hoping will work out! But because they are a baggy fit (which I love!), they may be a little too baggy for my liking. But on a positive note, they have several deep pockets, one even fits my large phone, which is what got my excited in the first place. I'm a big fan of the astro line everything is so lightweight and breathable, even on extreme humid days. Overall, if you're looking at buying, you may want to size up. Especially if you have athletic thighs!

No Stretch AT ALL

I normally wear an XS and went with that this time as well. The shorts look nice but I couldn't get them over by hips very easily. Once they were on, they didn't look too small but there was absolutely no stretch in the waistband. Sizing up would have made them easier to get on but then they would've looked pretty baggy. Underwear lines are also very visible as there is no built-in underwear. Wouldn't repurchase.

Waistband fits small

I like the shorts, they're light and have great pockets. However, the sizing is a bit weird. Definitely size up if you want to be able to get them on. I have quite a few OR items and ordered my usual size small. They fit once they were on, but the waistband is small and not very stretchy, so they were very awkward to pull on and off. I ended up returning them and getting medium ones.

squeeze to get it on but once its on, the fit is great!

I really love these shorts. as the description states they are a tighter fit in the waist. I am curvy with a small waist and it is a struggle to get them over my butt, but once they are on, they actually stay up at my waist and look so nice. they also have a built in drawstring but i think this is the first pair of shorts ive owned i dont even need it. Thanks OR!

I'm wearing them now!

These felt great the moment i put them on. they are a bit snug getting over the bum as others have mentioned, but then they sit perfect on my hips. they're just the lightweight material i wanted and felt awesome on an impromptu run as well.

Ridiculous Shorts

As others have said (which I should have heeded) the waist is tiny with no give. Couldn't get them over thighs. Followed suggested sizing, and still had this issue. Wouldn't recommend these to anyone, unless you're very vertically uniform.
