Salomon  Patrol J Shoes - Kids'

This my 5th grader second pair Of patrol .the first pair wore down quickly not sure how fast because her different Salomon never had this issue. I only got these because she tells me they are really comfortable everyone knows having feet issues on the trail is never good for anyone.

We have purchased Salomon light trail runners for my sons' daily shoes for many years. We have always been very happy. We ended up purchasing these for my son in the spring because we couldn't locate a pair of alphacrosses, so we tried these. Based on the description, it sounded like they were more of what we wanted in a shoe; however, the soles wore out exceedingly quickly during typical summer wear outside. When we talked to Salomon, we were told maybe our son wore them on the wrong surface even though they are listed as a daily shoe. So, we tried again and purchased one for each my kids (again the alphacross were unavailable) and the soles wore out substantially within 6 weeks. They have now had them for about 2 months and my older son has lost most of the tread even though he spends most of his day at school. This isn't what I would expect in a Salomon shoe.

We'll designed toe and good shape, and, except for one thing, a good design. The flaw is that half the sole is made of molded foam and so it wears out way to fast. This picture is after less than one month of use. The teeth near the heel are completely gone already. Salomon is not alone in this crappy approach, so be sure check for all rubber soles. These were hugely disappointing.

I was really excited for these kids shoes - since it seemed like a mini version of my Outpulse which i LOVE - overall great shoe - EXCEPT - the mid section tread is based on the soft cell foam and wears off very quickly - it is a shame Salomon didnt run the rubber thread that they use in front and back all the way across

I bought these for my daughter to run trails with me and they’ve been holding up great! She ran her first 17K trail race in them about a month ago and they performed great on rough terrain! Highly recommend!

I’m an adult that need kids shoes sizes, and this one is really cool and nice for hiking

Laces are difficult to tie, and become untied easily. They wore out quickly on my son, compared to other shoes. The thin tongue is a bit odd, and make putting the shoes on difficult for my 8 year old.

amazing. my 10 year old uses these for road running, hiking, trail running, mountain biking and baseball because they are her favourite. she is quite active and I am now buying her a second pair just to have on hand. she has been using them consistently all winter and through the spring and early summer and they are only showing signs of minimal use. daughter loves that they are light weight.

We bought these shoes as a casual summer that would also work for outdoor hikes when necessary but were drawn to them as a lightweight casual summer shoe. My daughter loves them and wears them everyday. I came online at her request tonight hoping to find a black/white version for her to wear at school (no other shoe colors are allowed).

Purchased for 10 year old granddaughter. They are light, and she says they are comfortable just for daily wear, but the tongue will drive you crazy. Really flimsy and difficult to stay in place when putting them on. While they lack in some materials quality I expect from Salomon, they also are not very expensive.
