nice lightweight sun shirt
I got this mainly for a beach trip I took. This is the lightest feeling sun hoodie I own and definitely feels the most high quality. When it’s dry, it is perfect. The integrated mask and hood combo is awesome and it does a good job staying put. I’ve worn it for some long bike rides too and it’s nice and loose and keeps me cool. If you get it wet it will cool you down for sure. The only drawback I’ve found so far, when I wore it on a long day at the beach, I think it was soaked for a while and the bottom of the shirt got heavy. It stretched the fabric at the shoulders thinner and I actually got burned on my shoulders and upper back pretty good…if you’re gonna swim in it just beware
Excellent for sun protection and comfort
This is what you want for sun protection, breathability, and comfort combos. The integrated mask, spacious hood, comfortable thumb holds, and breathable material make this perfect for any outdoor occasion. I wore a hat and sunglasses with mine, no issues. If you are tired of wearing sunscreen all the time, this is it. I haven’t found any cons. Used for kayaking, lake swimming, fishing, camping, and trail hiking! Didn’t wash it for 5 days and it didn’t smell bad. I wear an XL usually but the L fit me best.
good sun protection
This is such an excellent design that I am in love with it. One feature that I think differentiate it from other shirts of this kind is the face/neck/head protection. The neck gaiter could be extended pretty much to your forehead if you wish, that’s how much fabric there is! That being said if you don’t like the permanent feeling in your neck of a gaiter this is not your shirt. Another cool feature is that the hood has an elastic along the edges that ensures a snug fit while still loose

I bought medium. I'm 5'9" 164 lbs.. the fit is perfect. nice and light and loose and arms are not short. face mask stays up no problem and hood has plenty of room. Ill use for fishing hiking and outdoor sunshine activities. if you my size get medium seem like its well made. no sewing errors. nice light feeling material
Overall good shirt with one flaw
This shirt is one of my go-tos in the summer time. I got the white colored one and its pretty good. the only complaint i have with it is that if you get it wet, its long and will weigh down and stretch around the shoulders. wore this at the beach in alabama for about 7 hours one day and got a gnarly burn on my shoulders and neck. The back of the shirt is pretty long and when it gets wet it is heavy. so beware of that if youre gonna be in water with this on. I love the face covering though, this shirt rocks when its dry. Thumbholes feel good too.
Great for hot weather
Got this for outdoor work and hiking in Phoenix, AZ. Does better than other garments in blocking the heat and direct sun that we have here.
Very small
I bought this shirt to use for trout fishing some small creeks in the summer. I own a Columbia shirt very similar to this one but is to bright to wear on the creeks. I expected this shirt to fit similarly. I was dead wrong. This shirt is extremely small. I ordered a XXL as that is my size, the shirt fits great in my shoulders and that’s it. The arms, midsection, and the hood are very very tight. If you arnt a small waisted person DO NOT BUY. Complete waste of money
Blocks the sun, stays cool
I do a lot of fishing, usually in bright sun and heat. This hoodie covers the essentials, looks good, breathes (allows cool air through), and the built in neck gaiter is a great add. Took it to Mexico and put it through its paces. Did not disappoint. I'm 5'8, 180 pounds. I have the large size.
The shirt I've been looking for
I bought this on sale and am so impressed I'd buy again not on sale. Very comfortable. Have not used in hottest weather yet but anticipate it will be great given performance so far. Covers me completely from sun. I live in this shirt.
Too heavy
I really wanted to like this one. Great style but it was way too heavy for a sun hoodie. So heavy even the sales person at REI commented on it when I was returning it. I got another REI sun hoodie instead and absolutely love it. Breathes great, protects great and looks amazing.
