Work on a concrete floor putting in 18,000 steps a day. They're very comfy. I'm a little on the fluffy side, could use a little more cushion. I've noticed my feet sweat in these things and don't get enough ventilation. Never had that happen in any shoe before. I went down a half size to get the best fit. A little loose at the rear heel. The laces don't like to stay tied. Have a feeling I'll be tearing up the foot bed inside. I like these better than the Moab 3 merrels I bought at the same time, although those are lighter and breathe better. These just have a good fit/feel to them. I'm actually shopping for a pair of Danner high tops for winter right now. Will buy Danner again.
Very comfortable, supportive hiking shoe with a grippy sole.
Shoes are sturdy. They appear well made. They are definitely not a casual hiking shoe. Downside is the fit around the ankle is a bit loose. Really can’t get a tight fit around the ankle. Running the last loop over the top and underneath seems to help, but haven’t taken them out yet with that lacing method. The laces are also a bit bungee like. It’s difficult to keep them taut while lacing them. Would rate higher with if the fit was better around the ankle. Very similar to an old pair of Teva Reva’s they are replacing, but a bit sturdier.
Good look and seemed well made. Needed very stiff forefoot due to arthritis. Could not get the right heel to stay locked in so returned them. Going to try the mid in store soon.
Wanted to like this shoe but the suede materials turned me off. I’m not a fan of how dirty suede can get. Shoes also seemed very stiff. Nice shoes but just not for me.
they are well made, and solid, and i am sure they would heold up well, unfortunately the rim around the ankles is a bit high for me, and rubs o my ankles o i will return them ..
great shoe, they are a little heavy and take some time to break in!
