Use them as dress socks!
I’ve had these for years and it just occurred to me that I could use them as “dress” socks for work, so I bought 5 more pairs. They look just like dress socks, but feet stay totally dry and comfortable all day and they never slide down. I’m on my feet all day and these socks help keep you going just as a good pair of hiking socks make a long hike more enjoyable. Plus, the wool seems to keep the shoes totally odor free.
Smartwool Everyday Crew Socks
Surprised how thin they are - similar weight to any dress sock. Zero cushion if that's important to you. (Didn't realize before ordering - am used to their thicker socks.) But seem ok otherwise. Will see how they hold up.
Just the ticket
Great feeling sock. Didn’t realize these were listed as men’s, but they are working well for me with my Merrell slip on shoes. Haven’t washed yet, but if they perform like my other many Smart Wool socks by machine wash, hang dry, I will be happy. Circulation problems and post surgical feet need comfortable, warm socks and shoes. This sock is the solution.
Sock heaven
I LOVE these socks. Online here it says they are men’s but on the socks it actually says unisex. I have medium and I wear 7.5/8 women’s and they are perfect. I bought a few pairs after trying one because I wanted to invest in these as my go-to socks. Expensive, but worth it.

Worth the money, but its a lot for socks
I don't want to wear cotton anymore. I wish such products were more mainstream and were maybe $7/pair. Even in my dry clime I can tell my feet are dryer and happier. I like the fit too.
Excellent sock, can't go wrong with Smartwool
Smartwool are great socks. These are comfortable and fit well. I used to wear thick socks but my legs swell a little these days and these are perfect for me. I have other Smartwool socks I am very happy with.
Much thinner than expected
These socks are very thin. I was hoping for the same Smartwool crew socks that I'd had in the past, but these are so thin they are like my worn-out socks. What's the point? Plus, in their thinness they remind me of my grandpa's socks. That's a me problem, I suppose. It turns out that "Light Cushion" is the perfect weight of Smartwool socks for my dress shoes. Unfortunately, REI no long carries the chestnut crew socks in this weight, so I have to go straight to Smartwool.
