Excellent
Great socks. I used the prior PHD Run socks from Smartwool and found the new Run with no cushion a nice change. Slightly less tight and slightly softer feel. I use these every day trail running and road and mtb cycling. I purchased 3 pairs in grey and just ordered another 3 in blue/red while on sale. After years of coolmax socks now using the Smartwool for everything. No bunching, no bulky seam, and super durable.

Holes within weeks
Love smartwool, but all of their thin running socks I've ever bought will get holes after a few weeks of on and off wear (and after only 2-3 washes!) Unreal for the price you pay... I bought these in late December and by mid Jan there are holes on the bottom. They are very comfortable and feel great but the durability is a real issue when they're $20 a pair.

Felt great running, but unsewn with first use.

Only used once for a 10k and they felt great coupled with my Hokas. No sores or hot spots. The reason for a 3 star review is that the seam between the toe ‘box’and the upper foot got unsewn and It wasn’t due to my toenail. I expected a little more from these socks, especially after just one use.

Nearly perfect socks.

These are great socks. They can stay on my feet all day. They are light and comfortable and keep the temperature of my feet well regulated.

Comfort & Wicking

Like walking in clouds. Great comfort in runs and daily walks alike. I wear a 11.5 and went with Large. They shrink a little but have stretch so they are fine. But if you like a little more room at that size go with XL.

Size runs small and there are dimples on the heel

I recently purchased a couple different Smartwool running socks so this is generally for all of them. I have been a dedicated smartwool sock user for ~10 years. This latest batch compared to past ones (a) runs very small, (b) have dimples on the heal. I am a male size 9-1/2 D shoe. According to Smartwool that is the low end of size L (9-11.5). Size L out of the box barely fit (had to stretch to get the sock heel fully over mine). So I expect that after washing they will be too small. So I purchased some size XL (12-14.5) which fit great out of the box and should still be perfect after washing. All the socks I purchased were running socks and all had small dimples on the heel which so far don't bother me but this might change with a longer distance.

Just Right

I'm not a runner but I strongly prefer zero cushion. In addition, these have a slightly higher ankle than some models but not high enough to be a crew sock which I don't care for. So, like Goldilocks, I found the one that's just right. I've worn Smartwool for years and they last for years.

Work great for running

I've ran with these a few times now out on the trails and they have been fantastic. Getting them soaked on a couple of puddles I had no issue with them drying back out and no issues with blisters or rubbing.

Perfect ankle sock for any use

Perfect ankle sock for any use. I run no cushion as I wear my socks for all activities and prefer them to be without cushion. These are perfect since the no-shows sometimes do not work with certain shoes/boots. These are perfect if you need to wear them more than once without washing, as they do not stink. Coming from someone who tends to have sweaty, stinky feet, these do not stink after multiple wears. I will be buying more, as these are replacing a competitor's merino ankle sock.

Best socks I own!

These socks are so lightweight and comfortable that I wish I could afford to replace ALL my socks with them?
