New Hampshire Trail Run
Great socks for my trail runs. I think of my little sister every time I put on my SmartWool socks 🧦. She recommended them 15 years ago. It is the only sock I wear
Felt great running, but unsewn with first use.
Only used once for a 10k and they felt great coupled with my Hokas. No sores or hot spots. The reason for a 3 star review is that the seam between the toe ‘box’and the upper foot got unsewn and It wasn’t due to my toenail. I expected a little more from these socks, especially after just one use.
Poor quality holes abound
Overpriced garbage. Brand new and 2 holes already on first day! I’m done w them. Used to be good
Excellent
Great socks. I used the prior PHD Run socks from Smartwool and found the new Run with no cushion a nice change. Slightly less tight and slightly softer feel. I use these every day trail running and road and mtb cycling. I purchased 3 pairs in grey and just ordered another 3 in blue/red while on sale. After years of coolmax socks now using the Smartwool for everything. No bunching, no bulky seam, and super durable.
Comfortable, but too thin to hold up
Very comfortable, but started to pile and thin out at ball of the foot after only one 3 mile run.
Holes within weeks
Love smartwool, but all of their thin running socks I've ever bought will get holes after a few weeks of on and off wear (and after only 2-3 washes!) Unreal for the price you pay... I bought these in late December and by mid Jan there are holes on the bottom. They are very comfortable and feel great but the durability is a real issue when they're $20 a pair.
Nearly perfect socks.
These are great socks. They can stay on my feet all day. They are light and comfortable and keep the temperature of my feet well regulated.
Comfort & Wicking
Like walking in clouds. Great comfort in runs and daily walks alike. I wear a 11.5 and went with Large. They shrink a little but have stretch so they are fine. But if you like a little more room at that size go with XL.
Traveling sox
Great comfort. The best socks for people who have hot feet. Additionally the only socks I use when backpacking because they can literally be washed and are air dried by the next day. With this color you also dont have to worry much about loosing one.
