Best socks I would buy them again and again!
I love Smartwool running socks, I run marathon and ultra marathon trail and average 30 to 40 miles a week. I will wear the same pair for the week just dry them between each day and they never smell. Very durable socks I have not had any wear yet, I have several pair I cycle through but these socks are the most durable running socks I've ever used. Super comfortable, I love how they hug my feet and never slip while I'm running so I never get blisters even on the long run. I've run in hot and cold temperatures and these socks keep my feet comfortable through it all, I can't have enough Smartwool socks much loved and highly recommended!
I Think Smartwool Changed Their Sizing
I have worn Smartwool socks for years. Different styles (running and hiking) and they have been great. I wear a 9.5 men's running shoe and would order size large from Smartwool and they would fit very well. With this pair of socks it appears that Smartwool may have changed their sizing because these socks are huge and my foot just slides around in them. Same quality and comfort that we are used to with Smartwool, just a slightly changed patter or something like that.

Trail runner, need the ankle height. Targeted cushion is perfect for me. I ONLY run in wool socks, and Smartwool is the BEST
Excellent Help for Feet with Neuropathy
I bought these socks with the hope that they'd help me do exercise walking in sneakers with my present condition of neuropathy. They have turned out to be really wonderful and my feet are cool after miles of walking and I'm going to REI tomorrow to get another pair.
Only all wool(almost) sock available on the market.
I wear this XL size sock to keep my feet warm, whether inside and without foot gear, or outside. Good feel and nice to have the thickness on the sole. Problem is that it isn't all wool. Spandex or something like it has been added, making it too tight on my ankle, impairing easy blood circulation Obviously squeezing the skin lessens capillary flow. Not good. What is the thinking behind the increasing use of plastic in cotton and wool garments? I fear it is a fashion thing rather than a function thing. And what does ""run targetted"" mean to anybody besides marketing pros?
Comfortable but sizes run small
Runs small. Recommend getting one size bigger for a comfortable fit. These were for my son, size 10.5/11 running shoes. The Large was a little too short. They fit me great - women's 9.5 running shoe.
Runs Super Small
The fit is way small. I had to take them back to an REI store and get the XL.
Comfortable
Comfortable lightweight socks but no cushioning. These are ok for gym activities but I prefer something a little thicker for running.
I Only Wear Smartwool Socks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love everything about these socks. Just the right fit and cushion for all my activities - from daily life to 10km per day of walking around Sydney, Australia while on holiday. I bought two more pair after wearing the first pair a few times - even though they were full price and I was intentionally browsing the ""on sale"" section of the website. The color of the real socks is a fair bit different than what is shown on the website, but (in my opinion) for the better. I really like the color of the real socks better. #sweepstakes
Smartwool Saves My Feet!
I recently ran my first ever 50K ultra trail running race. I used an old pair of thin cycling socks assuming they'd be all I need. I ran the second half of the 50K with huge blisters on both feet. I decided to try the run ankle socks by Smartwool and realized they were so good that I feel like if I wore them for the 50K, I'd never have had even one blister to deal with. Smartwool will keep me prepared next time. They're super comfortable, moisture wicking, and they fit my big 13-inch foot, too! Best sock for the job!
