Sizing Notes

Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".

PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.

TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.

Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.

Functional and Flattering Trail Dress

I love this thing. It’s both comfortable and flattering. I’m 5’0 and about 105 lbs, pear-shaped and an XS fits great. The leotard-type thing underneath fits snugly and the dress drapes nicely over it. The pockets are super functional - including the hidden one along the ribcage - can hold my phone, wallet, and keys. So far I’ve worn it with a base layer underneath as it’s chilly here still. It stretches and wicks moisture well. Only down side is that you do have to entirely disrobe in order to go to the bathroom which could get annoying with any layering on top or on longer hikes (I plan to wear a cami or sports bra on trails to accommodate). Can’t wait to use it in warmer weather.

Great in theory, fatal flaw in execution.

I really wanted to like, if not love, this. It looks great, nice short A line with a zipper pocket. But the fact that in order to use the restroom you must basically remove the garmet, is a no-go for me. Because the lining is attached all the way up to the shoulder straps. And the lining, as you might expect in a training garment, it pretty snug. I just do not want to be peeling off all of my clothing every time I need to use the bathroom. And forget about trying to discretely relieve yourself trailside in a pinch unless you enjoy sharing all your parts with the world. This might might might work on short rides, but it's not something that I can comfortably use on the longer rides I tend to do, and it definitely doesn't do double duty as a travel dress, etc. Too bad.

So many pockets!!!

I've had the Active Pursuits Training Dress for two weeks now, I've worn it out with leggings and without (sometimes it is colder in the mornings) and I love it. The material is so lightweight and perfect for hot days. I am huge on pockets and was shocked that the dress comes with 3 pockets, I used all three for walks and it was so convenient to have a spot for my keys and phone. The two pockets on the interior shorts are a decent size. The pocket on the outside of the dress is smaller, mesh lined, and has a zipper. I paired it with jacket as it was windy one night and it looked so cute, I love the color. For anyone who is into rompers or one-piece workout clothing this is a great item to have.

Cute and good for lower intensity things

I found this dress to be comfy and flattering, the color was adorable too! The legs rode up, only a little bit, and kind of settled and stopped, not uncomfortable though. A touch hard to pull on, I am pretty curvy, 10 inch difference from hips to waist, so I imagine not everyone will have this problem. The top is not supportive enough for running, (32D) but I had no issues with a brisk walk and some weights. It’s not sweat proof though, I did get a lighter color and usually it’s less of issue with darker colors or black. I liked the pockets on the legs under the dress and the little zip pocket on the outside of the dress, perfect for a card and a house key!

The BEST active dress for hot weather

I never write reviews, but I must share how much I love this dress. I live in AZ and this dress is THE BEST for being active in hot weather climates because it is so easy to throw on. I love that the liner is a full bodysuit, you feel completely secure and no bra is needed! Plus, as a tall girl with a long torso, the liner is the perfect length, it doesn't feel like I'm being wedgie-d. So cute and easy, this is a must-buy! I bought this in black and immediately went back and got several other colors. REI I need more colors: navy, sage green, etc PLEASE

Close but not quite.

Really like the concept of this dress. Nice to have a front pocket in addition to the pockets on the shorts. However the dress sizing is not adjustable and is cut for relatively straight proportions. Generally wear a S/S 32C and it’s very roomy in the chest. No breast support unless dress is tight in the chest (no shelf bra, no optional cup pockets). Would be perfect if the straps were adjustable and/or had a shelf bra built into the bodysuit.

Great in theory, fails in execution.

Removing the whole garment to use the restroom is a bit unfortunate, but the reason for my 2* rating is actually that this is made for someone MUCH taller than I am and is not adjustable. I can't believe the straps aren't adjustable at all. I liked the dress enough to alter the straps, but the dress is too expensive for such a fatal flaw. Also - no cup or elastic band under the bust = no support at all.

Perfect Summer Dress!

I was so excited when this dress arrived that I tried it on immediately even though it was snowing outside. The color is perfect and is unlike the basic colors of most active dresses. My impression of the materials was that it was well made and I wasn’t concerned about wearing this dress in the summer because while it is a sturdy material it is also lightweight. I am 5’9” and usually wear a size 31/12L in jeans. I received a size Large. The dress is a perfect length and I have no concerns about moving about in public. The dress has a body suit/bike shorts built in. I was a little hesitant at first because as a taller person body suits do not usually cooperate with me. The shorts are fitted but not suffocating and even have pockets. You could probably go without a bra with this dress, but it isn’t as fitted up top to make me comfortable. If I was set on that I would order a size down but I’m not sure how the rest of the dress would fit.

Excellent travel dress!

I purchased this dress in black for a monthlong trip through Mexico. It was an invaluable piece of gear! I wore it out for rooftop cocktails in the city, riding a motorbike at the beach, and even lounging at the hostel. I love how the integrated shorts provide modesty and prevent chafing in humid weather. The dark color hides dirt / grime and dresses up nicely. The fit is very flattering. Love it!

Flattering Multi-Functional dress

I really loved a lot of things about this dress. However, here is one big thing an issue with. I have a very hourglass shape and i have a very difficult time getting this on over my wide hips. I have a medium ( 5'8", 155lb) which is my normal size. Once the struggle is over pulling it on, the fit it is perfect so I would not want to go up a size. This might not be an issue for other body types. I was worried that this dress would be tight all around but it actually fit really nicely. The inner layer fits snug and gives comfortable support but the outer layer is a little looser. It hangs nicely and I found it to be very flattering. I love the small zip pockets and the criss cross back. The support of this dress is enough to not have to where a bra. I love having all in one outfit especially one like this that is so versatile Aside from the trouble getting this on, I can't wait to wear it this summer biking, hiking or gardening. Great for everyday wear and athletics.
