Quiet, waterproof, breathable, and quiet!
Ever since I lost my lightweight Musto Gore-Tex rain jacket, I have been looking for a worthy successor. While the Musto was better for sailing, this Kühl Stretch Voyagr is better for everyday usage. I compared this to Northface, REI, Patagonia, Outdoor Research, etc. the next closest jacket in lightweight and quietness was about $100 more. This jacket is lightweight, waterproof, breathable, and so quiet!! It is perfect for day hikes, but it is so lightweight and durable I wouldn’t hesitate to pack it for backwoods camping when occasional rain is expected. I am going to get the pants that go with this jacket.

Weather resistant, not waterproof
Agree with those who were disappointed by rain protection. Returned mine today, and replaced with Gore-Tex product. Beautiful, comfortable and excellent true fit. Each time I hiked in steady rain, my shoulders and arms were pretty wet.

Lovely jacket, not waterproof at all

I wanted to love this jacket. The fit (5"10, 195lbs size L) is amazing, the fabric is soft to the touch and the jacket is lightweight and just feels nice to wear. Like everybody else, my complaint is with the waterproof claim. It is anything but. After an hour or so in a mild rain the arms, hood and shoulder were absolutely soaked through. I gave it a couple more tries on successive rainy days and ended up with the same result. I'm a big Kuhl fan, but this jacket just doesnt live up to the claims or reputation.

Not waterproof

Purchased this jacket less than a month ago for my son, who is a runner. Wanted to get a high quality jacket now that he's stopped growing. He finally had a chance to wear it in the pouring rain, and it leaks. So disappointing. Given the price and the entire reason for purchasing is to keep him dry, this will be returned.

Expected better from Kuhl

Bought this voyagr jacket this summer. Wore it twice. Second time the water resistance failed. Sleeves and chest soaked through after only 15 mins of light to moderate rain. It’s in excellent shape otherwise. Sent photos to Kuhl. Their warranty people were not interested in helping. Garbage “rain” jacket.

It's a windbreaker now, all wet expensive Kuhl

It's an expensive windbreaker now. This jacket is not waterproof. Purchased 10/1/2021, lightly used, but NOT waterproof. Had it on yesterday for the first time in a while, got soaked, shoulders and arms soaked right through. I wish I could return it, but even as a member, that time has passed.

AMAZINGLY BREATHABLE! PERFECT RAIN JACKET.

I. LOVE. THIS. JACKET. It’s just fantastic. I work outside and the way this thing breathes is just phenomenal. Highly highly recommend…and I’ve definitely put it through it’s paces and beat the heck out of it and it looks brand new.

Breathable!!

Of course it sheds water and wind as it's designed to, but the biggest plus is breathability! I wore it in Palm Springs to experiment. Looked like a goof, but did so in the name of science haha. So good!

Light but freezing

I have to give this a low score because although I have been waiting anxiously to but this shell because I love the way it is made the quality and the fit but I must say I am disappointed because the fabric chosen it is very cold to wear. I am literally freezing wearing it. The whole reason for a shell is for rain in light weather but I was freezing when I wore it, the fabric chosen is stretchy, waterproof and sleek but it retains the cold. I am so disappointed I am talking it back. I really wanted this shell to be part of my wardrobe but it has to go back I am too cold when I need to wear it. I live in Northern Oregon where it’s colder in spring, fall and winter. Thought it would be a great choice but it’s not. I cannot recommend this shell
