Good, basic rain jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hood has an extra-long flap to keep the rain out of my face. I like the material - it's swishy, but not too loud. Not enough to be annoying. The jacket leaves a little room for me to layer, which is nice. I went with the Mosstone, Shark color blocks, which look like they did online. Also, it's worth mentioning that the rainjacket has a pocket you can use to stuff the jacket into a zippered pouch. I wish the Columbia rain jackets I bought for the kids had this - they could better carry their jackets in their school backpacks. Pleases excuse if the photo is sideways - Columbia's photo manager likes to change the orientation of my photos.

Good for light weather

I needed a waterproof jacked for hiking in the PNW. This cheap option seemed to fit the bill. This jacket is great for a light drizzle or occasional rain. We ended up starting our hike in a torrential downpour that lasted 2.5 miles to our first campsite. By the end it was soaked through. The same was true, though, for nearly every hiker on the trail. This is a decent packable option for light rain. Go for something better if you are anticipating heavy rain.

Quality Lightweight Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in Topo Mountain Print/Navy and I really like it so far. It's lightweight, durable and protects against rainfall as advertised. More specifically, I wore this to an Green Bay Packer game this weekend. It rained for over half the game. The severity of the rain varied from misting to somewhat heavy, and I remained dry the entire time. I can't say how this holds up against a torrential downpour, but during the fall and spring seasons in the Midwest, I would recommend this jacket. It may run a little large, but I prefer to layer underneath in colder weather. I'm 6'3 and bought size L. The drawstring on the bottom helps taper the back so it doesn't flare out for those who prefer a more tapered fit.

Excellent Value

I'm not an authority on ultra-light gear, and most of what I have is not ultra-light. But sometimes I want to go a little lighter and this jacket works for me. It's water repellant (I think the term that "resistant") enough for the stray shower or rainstorm. You probably wouldn't want it for the all-day cloudburst. But it does well with wind and keeps me just warm enough on those chilly mornings before the sun and the trail warms to shirt-sleeve levels. Incredibly light, fits well (I have the Large) and roomy enough to be comfortable.

Lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am extremely satisfied with this product. The Roan Mountain jacket is perfect for anyone who needs a long-lasting, fashion-forward jacket. I've had this jacket for two weeks and it's come in handy on numerous occasions during the rainy season. Shipping was simple and it came right on time. Colors are true to how they're pictured. It is extremely lightweight and provides great coverage from the elements all while keeping style in mind. I highly recommend this product and will even be purchasing another one for my father! 5 stars.

Exactly what I hoped it would be and what I needed!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is perfect for me in fit and function, and I also appreciate its stylish design. When I walk to work in the rain, not a drop gets through to my hair or clothes. I tried it without an umbrella just to see, and it was perfect. It does keep your body heat in, as well. It is extremely comfortable over any outfit and doesn't make me feel constricted like some other raincoats I have had before. I am very happy that I found this product. I believe anyone would enjoy and benefit from having one.

Multifunctional wonderjacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off with describing this product in two simple words such as amazing & versatile. I just relocated to Oregon and bought this jacket for everyday purposes. Lightweight, dark stylish, and very comfortable nylon material. In the very intense past two weeks, I have used this product for light runs, hitting the trails, camping while raining and it has exceed the expectation and kept me dry. And let me tell you the best part is that when I did not need it, I simply just folded it into a pocket square and put it inside my backpack. Highly valuable product at a very reasonable discounted price (side note: the Mountain Topo Print in the Navy blue jacket is calling my name) Once again Columbia has done an exceptional job at delivering a multipurpose product that truly encourages the outdoors adventures.

Great Jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for my Son to take with him to College. He loves it! Super lightweight and waterproof. Packable into a small size and dries quickly. My Son likes it because it keeps him dry without having a bulky jacket on, but roomy enough to allow him to wear a sweatshirt under it and not loose freedom of movement. I would highly recommend this product to anyone needing a well built, lightweight waterproof jacket.

Striking & Functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this for my husband, perfect weight & really blocks the rain! There is a slight bill to the hood which helps to keep rain off your face and the hood / bottom hem cinches to fit snug if windy. True to size as well, allowing for thin layers underneath if needed. The Navy / Super Blue color block is so attractive too! He is very pleased with this jacket! It's packable and very compact. Two thumbs up!

This jacket looks and performs amazing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I purchased the jacket I expected the design (Cool grey maze geolines) to not look as in the picture, but I was impressed by how it looks and how it performs. It's not a heavy jacket, as a result it is a great jacket for excursions and everyday use. It keeps the rain out and protects you from the wind, and it even has enough space for you to use a hoodie underneath.
