Never having worn the pants, I packed them as an afterthought for a spring trip to the coast of Maine. I put them on to visit Acadia National Park, and wore them every day of the trip after that. Great fit, great stretch, great pockets, and immensely comfortable. They work well for everything from hiking to a casual dinner out. Oh--and they stayed comfortable through 12-14 hour days driving home! I'm 5'7", about 150 pounds, with a pear shape, and size medium works perfectly for me. I loved these pants so much that I ordered all remaining colors before I was even home from the trip. Looking forward to many more travels in Kuhl Freeflex Dash Pants!
I had bought a size L, but they did not fit me quite right -- a little tight around the waist and tough to bend down in; so I exchanged them for an XL which fit perfectly with a little more room. I am 5'11" and 165lbs, usually I wear a 14, so a large should fit. If you are a size 12, then the L will fit perfectly. That being said; I loved these pants so much, even when too small...they were so very comfortable, light weight and very well constructed. You can't go wrong: these are excellent for all kinds of activities -- you can even dress them up to go out to dinner; they shed water very well, and are breathable. The fit is slim and flattering. These are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn.
I've been looking for hiking pants that aren't too technical and full length for a while now, and I had high hopes for these based on the reviews. Sadly, the waist gapped too much for me to keep them. I have a 30" waist and 41" hips, so I'm somewhere in between a medium and large. I ordered the large and while I loved the relaxed fit on my hips and thighs, I couldn't tighten the drawstring enough for the waistband to feel secure without bunching up pretty dramatically, which wasn't quite the fit I was looking for. They fabric felt great and I loved the pockets, but these simply didn't work for my pear-shaped body and I unfortunately had to return them.
Great hiking/casual pants that don’t look frumpy! I love the comfortable elastic waste. The weight is nice for late spring, summer, and I will wear these into the early fall. Easy to pull up over the calves when temps are a bit warm. So many womens pants have worthless half sized pockets but not these pants-they have fully usable pockets without adding bulk. I’m 5’7” 135lb and the small fit so well that I’m ordering another pair
I got these last minute after finding my trail pants don’t fit anymore. These fit like leggings through the waist, bottom, and thigh, then are straight legged down. So flattering and easy to hike in. They stretch and retain their shape. The only downside is if the waist band doesn’t fit well, it doesn’t appear to tighten much with the drawstring. I bike a lot and have thicker thighs and these pants fit me perfectly!
I have the rainstorm color and I love them! They are 3-season weight but where I live I can wear them all year. They always look neat and not wrinkly. Especially important: these pants do not attract dog hair!
I just bought these in the blue color and they are more grey-ish blue - very pleasing color. I'm IN LOVE with them, and plan to buy at least one more color. The features are great - inside drawstring waist, cinch at bottom of leg openings are easy to deal with - these will be great hiking pants, and also for just hanging around camp on a mild-to-warm day. I can tell they're going to get a ton of wear!
I bought these for a two week safari trip in Africa in July. Took 3 other kinds of pants and these were the only ones I wanted to wear! I am a full figured woman and I absolutely love them. Comfortable for all day, packed like a dream. Actually wearing them to the office now that I'm back in the heat.
The color of these pants is beautiful. The fabric is strong and relatively thick, which is good for cold weather outdoor activity and they look great at the office. I love the four zipper pockets and the two side pockets for a phone or tissues.
Love them but the depth of the front pockets. Can only get my fingers in them they're that shallow.
