Does its job a little too well
I got this water bottle cage for my son, whose top load aluminum cage would get distorted because his small mountain bike frame didn't have quite enough space to get a standard 20-oz bottle in and out. This cage does its job, but it might be a little too sturdy. The plastic is thick and clamps onto the water bottle tightly so that it is difficult for him to get his water bottle in and out. I found a different side load cage that, while it doesn't clamp as tightly, has not dropped a bottle on the trail yet.
Gorilla Cage!
This is the cage to buy if you're into flying around on your mtb and experience the occasional "big hit." No way is this cage letting go! Having said that, this isn't the cage where you'll be rolling along and grab the bottle for a sip (unless you have a really strong core!) You'll want to be stopped with your feet set to pull it out. For me that's exactly what I was looking for. But there are cages with lighter if you don't need the 'gorilla cage"!
Screws included in package did not work for me
The screws were not really good I had use longer screws to install the cage
