High performance dog-walking shoe!
These sneakers help me go the 5 miles per day that my dog needs to be a good boy. I realize most people want to rave about epic runs, but having recovered from a fractured back, I’m thrilled to do what I can. These shoes provide support and shock absorption that I need. My only issue is that the material can snag on the rocks we scramble at the beach. Still, I expect they’ll last me another 2 years, until I get my 3rd pair.
Great For Walking Trails
I have started wearing them during my daily walks, as they are the most comfortable of any recent purchases (wearing without socks). I have bunions and other small issues with my feet and have been on the hunt for the most comfortable walking shoes. While shopping, a customer had a pair of On's (men's version) and I asked why he liked them. He said they were lightweight & comfortable.. So much so that he had 4 pairs. I decided to give them a try - even though I had to order them. I tried another Oh style, just to ensure the size was correct. REI also made it very easy to order at the store. Oh, and I love this color!
3 months of wearing and the shoe is ripping!!
I bought these right after Christmas. I didn’t start to wear them until 3 months ago. I don’t wear socks with them, so it was too cool to wear them before then. The mesh material at the toe is starting to pull away and rip. I don’t have any pets. I really only wear them inside to work. I’ve had a few pairs of this style over the years and this is the first time this has happened. Even my old pairs never ripped like this. The quality is not the same, but the price is still high. Very, very disappointing.
Didn’t last 3 months
Shoes are comfortable but started ripping within a month. Side wall caught a bush on trail and twig pulled a piece of right shoe exterior mesh. Top mesh on both shoes is pulling away from outer seam. Bought in Feb 24 and embarrassed to wear after June. Lower part is intact, mesh just gave out. Don’t expect this from $140 shoe
Not THAT comfy
These are attractive shoes they definitely run narrow. even with the laces expanded to the max they were not comfortable on my forefoot. They have a nice build and they are reasonably comfortable but I would not say that I was walking on cloud five, they do not feel as cushion for example as most Hokas might. They are incredibly light and despite all that air and foam they do not seem overly squishy or bendable so I suspect the sole would last for a long time. Even if they had fit right I don't think they were comfortable and well-made enough for me to justify the $140 price tag. I'm probably going back to the Hoka Speedgoat. Returning..
So comfortable and Cute
I love shoes that don't tie, but look good. These are so comfortable and I don't have to constantly re-tie. The green, gray and black combo does not look great on the website, but it is stunning in person. These are particularly good if you feet on the narrower side, but don't need narrow widths. I was able to go down a size from my other style of On Clouds.
Great for light use, no workhorse
Comfortable and nice looking profile but started to tear by my pinky toe after a few months (spoke to friends with these shoes, fairly common complaint). Also if I had known that the tread would pick up every rock and piece of gravel that I encountered, I would not have purchased. It drives me nuts. The large spaced tread picks up big jagged pieces of gravel that will ruin wood floors and makes it generally uncomfortable to walk.
nice on looks, poor on quality
shoe is attractive and has nice base. Issue is the quality Purchased on May 25 and by August 25 they had ripped in to top where the mesh meets the upper support. And this is not an every day wear shoe for me, so to be unwearable after 3 months is pretty problematic. Not sure if they will honor the warranty, so its a pretty expensive shoe for just 3 months wear.
Comfortable, but mesh breaks so fast
I’ve had three pairs of On sneakers in one year. While I like the comfort it provides during my runs, the mesh keeps breaking, making it difficult for me to continue using them. I was able to replace my first pair, and decided to get the second one to keep changing them, and hoping for them to last longer. It didn’t help. After few months of using them the mesh starts to break. I now have two pairs with sole in great condition, but my toe is about to stick out so not usable anymore. Does anyone else has the same problem, or is my bad luck of getting some flawed pairs?
Something has changed for the worse
I bought these to replace an identical pair from several years back that I had worn extensively and had recommended to others. I don’t know what has changed, but the new shoes simply don’t fit well. The size and model are identical, but something is off. The new shoes fit too tightly and exacerbate my plantar fasciitis in a way that the prior pair did not. The only difference that I can see is that new pair have a tongue made of a solid suede material, while the prior model was made of mesh. Visibly they appear to be the same length and width.
