Major flaw.
Cozy but one major problem. Zipper has no chin guard so cold. When buying Patagucci, I expect more. I buy a hoody to be cozy and enjoy. When waking up early and it is cold, I want to put it on and bask in its goodness. Got this one and while cozy and guessing the odd wavy looking material works well, that one small nit of a cold metal zipper each morning hitting my neck is a fail. Like having a thorn in the side for my fellow religious brethren - not quite but you know what I mean. I like Patagonia stuff - please bring back silk weight capilene with all the chemicals because that stuff lasted forever and performed great.

Very comfortable and breathes well. A bit cold in lower temperatures if not moving, but excellent for active hiking

R1 IS # 1
The r1 by Patagonia is a revelation-active, lightweight warmth that fits great and looks great. It is a key component of my hiking layering outfits. I own four different weights and colors...its one of the products that set Patagonia apart from the outdoor apparel crowd...
Great Hoodie for Sport Climbing
Ripped a big hole in my previous fleece (Arc Delta hoodie) and needed a new one before our trip to Red Rocks (vegas). This was perfect for climbing over Thanksgiving week, slightly warmer than the previous fleece I had, but very breathable. Wore it all day sport climbing and up Dream of Wild Turkeys. No long term info on durability yet though.
My do-everything layer
This is probably my favorite piece of Patagonia gear. I wear it all the time. As a mid-layer while snowboarding, a top or mid layer while hiking, and literally sitting around the house working. It excels at keeping you warm enough but not too warm. It is comfy, looks super cool, it's light, and is something I put on in the morning and wear all day.
Definitely worth it
I was quite unsure if I wanted to pull the trigger on this as my first Patagonia purchase. It's expensive (by my standards anyway). I wanted something lightweight as a middle layer, and I'm thrilled with it. It's worth the price. I have worn it for a couple weeks and find it very comfortable and form fitting. I'm very happy.
Super warm but keeps you regulated
Bought to put under down hoody to keep warm but also vent warmth so far has done excellent was worth the steep price!
