Great features but not fully waterproof.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this tent, have used it about four times now. This was the first time I have encountered any rain and it leaked. After a night of light but steady, no wind, I woke up to find a small puddle in front of the door and a couple of small leaks in two corners. The tent had been put up correctly on the included for print and fully zipped up. The fly seemed to absorb the rain rather than repel it... Water soaked from outside through the material of the inner toggle for holding up the fly door and dripped into the main tent. It's also seeped in at the corners.

Great tent for hiking and camping!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I have taken our tent to the Grand Canyon and Superior Hiking Trail multiple times. It's light weight, keeps you dry and easy to put up.

Works So Well, We Bought Another One!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our first Catalyst 2 person tent in 2018 for our son's scout campouts. He has used the tent 5-6 times per year since. It's been perfect for him and his fellow scouts to share for several years now. When our daughter recently needed a tent of her own, it was an easy decision for us to buy another Catalyst 2. I'm sure we'll have similar success with this one.

Great. Especially for price.

I carried this tent on my 3 day Pemi loop trek. Stayed two nights prior in it camping with my finance. The tent seems to be the perfect size for 1-2p without too much stuff. Kept dry, super easy to set up, especially by yourself with only a headlamp. I’d recommend something lighter for true backpacking trips, but, if you have claustrophobia issues, this tent offers plenty of room, and might be worth the 6lbs (with poles on my scale) for comfort. I’m using this as our main tent for treks less than 40 miles til I can afford something as quality but lighter.

Great functioning tent

I really enjoyed this tent from the time I set it up in the house to my first camping trip with it. Easy to set up and I like the different ways you can configure the rain fly and vestibules. Thanks for the footprint too! I can see this tent being very warm and lacks some ventilation options other than the vestibules, the roll back option of the rain fly was nice and certainly let in much needed fresh air but there's no other ventilation available. Overall a great tent to get myself back into the outdoors, looking forward to using it more.

The Sales Associate Was Spot On

The sales associate recommended this tent. My daughter would be camping for the weekend with possible bad weather. He told me it woukd keep them dry and was easy to set up and take down. She praticed 2 times and was able to do it alone the 2nd time. It poured and was windy. The tent stay put, dry and no leaks. The best part it was on sale for a great price. I would not hesitate to recommend this tent or purchase another in the future. It even came with a ground trap!

Design flaw- fly repeatedly gets caught in zipper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ended up having to return this tent. The rain fly repeatedly got stuck in the zipper every time I zipped or unzipped it to enter or exit the tent. I didn't want to be constantly pulling the fly out the of the zipper and ultimately damaging the fly and zipper every time. This tent would benefit from better design to prevent this issue.

Great Tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this tent for years on trips ranging from over a weekend to week long. While it’s small, the tent is roomy enough for gear and the extra space in the vestibule comes in extra handy for longer term gear. Easy to pitch and never have had any problems except I have had to replace the poles. Again, great tent!

Perfect for any kind of camping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just recently purchased this tent and I could not be more pleased. I had been searching for a new 2-person for both car camping and backpacking. It fulfills both of those purposes. Although I haven’t had it in the rain yet, I feel confident in its ability, with its sturdy construction. Very easy to set up as well.

The catalyst tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is been awesome! Absolutely put it through the ringer. From full blown winter storm to blazing desert heat. Lightweight enough for me. Little bit tight for two people but I don’t care there’s just enough room in the vestibule for gear. No issues with zippers of materials! Awesome tent.
