So cute!
LOVE the feel of these. Soft and supple yet durable (maybe not quite as durable seeming as their Freda 7" shorts), but the pocket is useful and the shorts feel like a second skin. I am a bit thicker in the booty at 5'4" and 150lbs, so I had to size up in these. I'm a size 8 in the Freda short and a size 10 in these.

Cute, comfy!- but don't fit me right
These are my first Wild Rye shorts, and they seem to be an REI special, so I can't compare them to the rest of the line of MTB shorts (besides that they're a bit less expensive). I liked the pattern on these, and was looking for nice shorts to wear over my liner. These only have one pocket towards the bottom and back of the leg, which I didn't find myself using- I'd be afraid to put anything too heavy (phone) in, which might pull the shorts down, or poky (keys), in case I took a tumble. I only bought one size (8), and I think they fit pretty well- the waist is a bit loose on me, but I was afraid a size 6 would be too tight in the thighs. I'd try a size 6 if they were in store/easy to try on, maybe that would be better. The hem of the shorts did slide/roll up a bit when I was biking, but not enough to bother me. The fabric is really lightweight and nice feeling, hope they hold up! -- Update: After 2 wears on bike rides, I decided the size 8 really was too big in the waist. The stretchy part at the back was gaping and looked awkward. I was passing through a town with an REI, and decided to purchase these in a size 6, thinking that would solve my problem. While the waist in size 6 fits, the legs are too tight to be comfortable- both while biking and just while sitting. I'm afraid they're both going to be returned- seems like this style just doesn't fit my body/thighs/waist- and I don't think I'm unusally proportioned.

Disappointed, not as described

I got these because they looked shorter and more feminine on the model. The description also states 7” inseam but these are clearly not. Not sure if I received a defective pair but the inseam is 11”! Only positive is the material is very soft.

Not for big thighs

These need a liner and aren't meant for thick thighs. The waist was baggy for me but the thighs were super tight. Aren't cyclists supposed to have big legs?

Too big in waist too small on legs

They ride up your crotch as soon as you start pedaling. Way too much room in the waist, yet to little room anywhere else to keep them in place.

great

They fit true to size. They're cute and I'm happy to wear them either to exercise or just as a comfy pair of shorts that aren't as revealing as my usual booty shorts. They're stretchy but not too much. And when wearing them with a liner they're not bulky or uncomfortable. I really like these. The fabric seems robust/sturdy, it doesn't snag on stuff, which is great. And it doesn't stay wet when you sweat through it.

GREAT but please lower waistband in front.

1. Awesome fabric and print, light, refined classic. 2. Love the crotch gusset 😺😺😺 - gives best look and fit (why don’t more pants and shorts have it!) 3. Please lower front waistband about 1.25 inches so it dips much more when viewed flat from the front. 4. I’m 5’11” and weigh 165 - lean & tall and size 12 fits great in legs and butt. Just wish front was lower bc I’m definitely not into “Mom” style or mid-high rise waistband - uggh looks terrible on lean athletes who aren’t into booty looks.

All around awesome shorts!

I love these shorts and wear them all the time even when not biking. They are quick dry so perfect for water sports, boating and the beach. I get lots of compliments on them too. The elastic waste band and stretchy fabric are super comfortable. They are short which works for me as I’m 5’4” tall. They have one pocket that fits my bigger iPhone.

Awesome Bike Shorts

LOVE the color and pattern. Big Fan of Wild Rye gear. The padding is ample and does the job. I sized down to get the waist to fit better. The thighs are not tight on me. I recommend trying a couple of sizes on to get the fit right.

Great Mt bike shorts

True to size. Not much stretch in waist so take that into consideration when choosing your size.
