I wanted to wait a couple of months so I could get some miles in before leaving a review. Overall I'm extremely happy with this bike and my purchasing/service at REI. It is pretty close to perfect for me. I love the geometry of the frame and the build quality is excellent. I have about 250 miles on it now, mix of pavement, "gravel" and some more technical trail riding. It has handled all like a dream. Not surprising at all and this can easily be the case for any bike since every person is different, but I quickly changed the stock saddle (WTB SL8 Medium Steel SL) as it was not comfortable for me. My only complaint is that I drew the short straw on the crankset/chainring. The bike can come with either the Shimano GRX RX600 crankset or the FSA Omega MegaExo crankset. I got the version with the FSA crankset which initially was fine. However, I've been considering changing the chainring to a 38T version as I have a lot of elevation gain on almost every ride and figured this would be an easy, inexpensive swap. Little did I realize this is not possible with the FSA version. It runs a 120mm BCD which no one makes. The only way to change the chainring is to completely replace the bottom bracket and crankset, a much more expensive endeavor. If I had received the Shimano version, this would've been a non-issue.
Loved the bike! The staff was incredibly professional and supportive in prepping the bike for me to test. I chose not to buy this model and got the Warbird 810 2X instead, that the CO-OP team prepped and then kitted out when I decided to buy it! Great service as always!!!
