- Each toe warmer delivers 6 to 8 hrs. of warmth
- Air activates the warmers, but the resealable (and recyclable) AirBarrier™ pouch zips closed to keep air out, allowing you to store open warmers for up to 72 hrs.
- To activate: Open the bag, take out a warmer and give it a shake; the air will activate the warming agents within 5 to 10 min.
- Peel the back off the toe warmer, exposing the adhesive, and stick in into a desired place on your socks or insoles for maximum comfort inside your boots or shoes
- After use, you can cut open the toe warmers and compost the minerals inside; note: the warmer sacks themselves are not compostable or recyclable and must be thrown away

Not very effective
I ordered these a few months ago, before I had run out of the toe warmers (another brand) I already had. The pair I opened barely warmed up by the time I put on the outer pair of socks and my boots. When I got to the hiking trail, I decided to check them - still barely warm. So I opened a 2nd package, thinking there had been a small air leak in the first one and that it had lost its ability to heat. Same thing. So either you have to use these immediately after purchase, or they just don't heat up very much at all. They're also a bit stiffer than the brand I'd always used in the past (and will in the future; just experimenting with these) so less comfortable inside boots.
Excellent Warmers
I waited to review this until after several uses downhill skiing from temp ranges 2-30 degrees and these do hold up! They don't take up to much room in my boot, they don't get too warm on warm days, they produce enough heat on cold days, and they last all day. I honestly forget they are there until I am back on the lift and feel the warmth. Now, these don't produce a ton of heat, but it is enough to prevent cold toes. You can make them warmer by giving them more air, but I find this unnecessary. If you have very poor circulation, these will probably still work for you. It is great that they are a more sustainable warmer, I think everyone should try these before going back to a hothands type.
Worked Good
I disagree with some f the previous reviews. 1.) The toe warmers do have adhesive on the bottom, you just have to remove the adhesive "cover". 2.) if you replace the warmers, either toe or hand in the resealable package, they can be used over and over. I used one set of hand warmers four different times. You just have to be sure the container is sealed as the chemicals in the warmers react with the oxygen in the atmosphere. Obviously, if you are going to use the toe warmers, they have to be inserted before leaving your house. Thus they will probably be used faster than hand warmers, which can be activated when you leave your vehicle. No the toe warmers aren't super warm but they definitely helped my toes one morning snowshoeing in near zero temperatures. Since they are in your shoes and not readily available to oxygen, they just get warm but that was enough to help. The hand warmers worked great even in five fingered gloves as a cold finger could be retracted and receive immediate relief. I highly recommend them!
Not great results.
I used these in my hunting boots in 15-25 degree weather. They didn’t work all that well but it could have been user error. I don’t think I let them sit long enough prior to putting them in my boots. Very little heat generated.
Will never winter the same again
I've lived in the midwest most of my life and this is the first year I've leaned into toe warmers and I cannot say enough good things about them. Cold days are not just bearable, they verge on... enjoyable? I've used these for running, cycling, and playing at the doggo park. They stay put and keep my feet warm for hours at a time. Recently I started putting them on top of my foot instead of underneathe: game changer! Especially for running and cycling where shoe fit is so important.
Wanted to like them
I bought a large pack of these. About 50% of them were duds. It sucks when you’re relying on these for warmth and they don’t work. Waste of money! The ones that did work strangely puff up and have to be pressed down to get the air out. Strange. Disappointed.
Maybe a little too hot
DO NOT PUT ON BARE SKIN. I was camping without a tent and decided to slide one of these into my sock after I got into my sleeping bag. The adhesive side stuck to my ankle, and I woke up to sharp pain around 4 am. I ripped it off of my leg and went back to sleep, and woke up with a horrible blistering burn on my ankle. I'm sure these are great if you put them inside your boot, but really disappointed that there was no warning about the dangers of putting them on bare skin.
Didn't Work
We were at a wedding near Big Bear during a snow storm and these didn't really keep our feet warm. They either took forever to activate or didn't activate at all.
The right amount of heat
This is a well done product. The heat generated isn't too much and you can put these right on your feet. They generate enough heat on your sock or booties, but not so much your feet start sweating. My wife sleeps very cold and these held up in near freezing temps in her down booties. They won't feel like they are working and you barely feel the heat, but once you get them in your socks/booties, your feet feel super toasty. You could put these in your gloves too, if hands are your cold issue.
Weak adhesive, single use. More waste.
I was excited about these reusable warmers promising a second use within three days, producing less waste. I found the adhesive to be weak and the warmers bunch up while slipping your foot into the boots. The packing is more wasteful, with each pair in a thicker individual zip lock pouch and several packaged together in a bigger, thicker zip lock bag. As it turns out, I have never gotten a second use regardless of how long I used a pair or how long between uses. I carefully followed the repacking instructions, even pushing the air out of both pouches. Even if the package itself is technically recyclable, it seems unlikely it’s better than the single use warmers in the market. I’m giving three Stars because they work almost as good as the other available warmers. So disappointing!
