Great protection, good looking, and polarized!
I love these sunglasses. The style gives superior protection without sacrificing style. I love the rich Desert Glaze color--it's a warm, flattering color. The polarized lenses make these ideal for driving and hiking on bright spring days. They feel like expensive sunglasses. I like the non-scratch carrying bag, too! These Knockarounds are an excellent value--I can wear them every day and everywhere.
Broke after a few weeks
These seemed great at first - lightweight and fit nicely. However only after a few weeks of minimal use they spontaneously broke (I did not drop or bend them). I superglued the first break together, and while it was drying overnight, the next day I picked them up and there was a second break on the frame of the other lens. See pictures. Due to this, I cannot recommend these sunglasses. I'm not sure if REI would offer any type of refund.
Poor quality
Easily the worst quality sunglasses I’ve ever purchased. Fell apart (literally) after a couple of weeks. Don’t waste your time buying these
Nice for a little while
I really liked these at first, so much so that I think I've had around 4 pairs, maybe around 7 between my wife and me. That's the issue though, one pair had the reflective layer flake off, 3 or so have had the screws just fall out, 2 have broken inexplicably (one on the frame around the lens somehow, the other on the temple). All of these issues seem to happen just after a year so warranty is no good. They seem to scratch pretty easily too, though I think I take care of them. I like them but I've spent enough to add up to a nicer pair that probably wouldn't have durability issues.
Logo on lens, hard pass on these
Price is good, sunglasses seem good for what you pay......except the annoying logo top left lens. Just in my field of vision. Who puts a logo on a lens?
Good when they lasted which wasn't that long.
Good glasses while they lasted but the polarized layer is already peeling. You get what you pay for.
Nice while they lasted
These were nice while they lasted. Suffered the same fate as other reviewers: screw popped out, frame cracked at top, logo on lens distracting. These glasses were not used roughly and were mainly for driving and outdoor events. Would not recommend.
Amazing
I was hesitant to buy a polarized set for 25$ but it came in a nice little box, with a glasses bad to keep them from getting scratched. Quality feel, the polarized lenses are legit. Worth the money. Gonna get a few few more in different colors.
Good while (if) they last
I liked the look and feel of the sunglasses but sadly I agree with other reviewers that have noted the build quality and durability are questionable at best. The sunglasses barely last one month when the frame cracked while I was wearing them. Then while standing in line to return the broken framed they cracked a second time right at the bridge while the employee was closing the arms. If they can fix their durability issue I would easily recommend these but until then look for another brand.
Poor product
The screw holding the frame together popped out after just a couple of months. I tried repairing them, but the replacement screws wouldn't stay in either. Better off going to Walmart, I guess.
