Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Nice jacket but runs very large
I like the jacket so far - just bought it. Roomy enough, good pockets, soft. Love the blue color. But the medium was huge on me. This is surprising because I rarely ever wear a small top or jacket. (5'2", 140lbs, 36G bust). I didn't want a tight, contoured jacket but this one is pretty boxy in shape with large arms and extra material around the area where the arms connect to the body of the jacket. I bought the small and it's still a bit more room than I would want unless wearing a bulky sweater or sweatshirt underneath. Now I'm wondering if XS would be a better fit. Guess I'll need to go back and see.
Twisted
I love the color so I’m re-ordering. The one I received is twisted. I also ordered a grey one which is cut and sewn perfectly, so I have high hopes. It’s a great price and a good fit. I like it mostly because it’s roomy enough for a shirt underneath without bunching. I don’t like tight fitting clothing at all and this is perfect without being oversized. But…it’s very inconvenient to order and return especially since REI will charge me $5.99 for the privilege of trying on a, let’s face it, defective garment.
My favorite everyday jacket
I love the vintage style and relaxed fit. I have the black/grey version of this and wear it all the time. Would buy a green and/or blue version of this if they had it in the womens. REI: please make more women’s jackets that are straight cut/relaxed fit and give us all the colors that you offer men!
Nice Quality, Runs Large
Soft and bright materials, but the sizing was pretty off. A lot bigger than expected. I am usually a medium and have been trending towards Small/medium lately. This was significantly larger than anticipated and I'm going to size down to a small which is unexpected for an outwear piece.
Everything but the fabric
Pros: great fit (a little boxy, which I like), good pockets, nice weight, decently warm Cons: fleece fabric is already looking worn and old after one wash and a month or so of regular wear I don't think this jacket is worth the listed price. The fleece pile is pretty low and doesn't take everyday abrasion well, so I don't see this jacket lasting as long as some of my other fleecewear.
Great layer.
Relaxed boxy fit, room for a tank, light sweatshirt underneath. It’s very roomy. I’m 140# @5’3” and think in the middle. I’m normally a medium, in this jacket I bought the small and returned it for two in an XS .
GREAT jacket
I bought this jacket for a 2 week trip to Bolivia in early June. It was going to be cold. We stayed mostly in La Paz then a 3 day tour of the Salar de Uyuni. Pockets! This jacket has so many pockets. I used the top left zippered pocket to hold change and/or a credit card while shopping (pick pockets abound). It would also be great for a transit card. The outer zipped pockets are roomy enough to hold a pair of knit gloves in one and a sandwich in the other pocket. The two inner pockets were used to hold a knit hat or small purchases. It was warm enough in La Paz that I was able to wear the Trailsmith jacket alone. I layered as follows a cotton tank t-shirt, a thermal long sleeve shirt, a long sleeve cotton shirt, a flannel shirt then this jacket. Because it was super cold at the Salar de Uyuni, I wore all the above and wore a puffy jacket over the Trailsmith Fleece Jacket. I stayed toasty warm throughout the trip. This is BEST jacket ever. I bought a large size to accommodate the layering. It did not look oversized on me. I usually wear a medium jacket. It also fit well under the puffy jacket. I did not feel constricted by the layers.
Warm and light, loose fitting
Bought this jacket for a quick jaunt of fall camping, first night was 41 degrees and it kept the chill off nicely. Had a loose fit, which I appreciate, not everyone is a yoga bod. I see a lot of complaints about it running large, but I think the fit is accurate to the photos. If you don't want a loose fit like the photo, maybe try a different style or order down in size. Nice long arms, slight drop shoulder, makes for an easy jacket to throw on for around camp, chest pocket is big enough for my 11 Pro, and the colors are lovely, definitely a winner.
Great fleece for winter
This fleece is so comfy and soft.. it is great for spring and winter. The color combination look great too.
Great jacket.
I love this jacket. I meant to use it to keep me warm, but accidentally I fund it very useful in a raining day. Yesterday I went for hiking in north California and forgot to bring my raincoat, I had to wear this jacket in the rain. My hat was soaked, my bandanna was wet, but this jacket kept my body dry. Under this jacket I wore smartwool shirt. I love it. My friends saw the result, and several of them went online purchased it. I also love the chest pocket, it kept my phone dry from the rain. Not sure why this jacket could keep me dry from the rain, it may be had some hydrophobic treatment , the rain can be “shaked away”.
