Been along time coming
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been promising my wife one for a long time have used it twice and can't wait till summer to use it more. Cook time is so quick so easy to light and use very happy. You can't walk away while it's cooking it will burn in the time it takes to get a beer be great to parties
Greatest purchase ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a chef of 25 years I truly love this oven! It is so much more than just pizza oven. It's a 1000 degree steak/meat/fish cooker, a tandoori oven, bread oven and more. The products come out amazing heats up in 25 minutes to almost 900°
SUPER FUN
There is a little learning curve, but there is fantastic FB group that will answer any questions! The add on propane burner is great, but using wood/coal combo is more fun! An infrared thermometer is super key (850 degrees is about ideal temp wise - also using semolina flour keeps the dough from sticking. Cooking pizza while camping is game changing
After cooking 9 pizzas I
After cooking 9 pizzas I can say without a doubt, this Ooni Karu 12 is outstanding! Easy to bring it to temp and what a breeze to cook deliciousness in a couple minutes! Guests can’t get over the speed and quality of what it produces. So very well made, easy to assemble and maintain…highly recommend Ooni!!
Awesome purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid oven, very easy to clean by flipping the stone and using the other side the next cook, it cleans the opposite side, just wipe the inside after.Easy to cook and store with the accessories such as the folding table, carrying case and peels. There is a slight learning curve if you’ve never cooked pizzas this way. Ensure you’re not using oil covered doughs like what most grocery stores sell. I made my own dough and had to play around with the heat to get the perfect pizza. This thing was well worth the money. We use it every weekend.
Extraordinary Pizza
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been making pizza using a pizza steel in a gas oven at 500 degrees (F) for years with good results. My wife surprised me with this wood fired oven for my birthday - I absolutely LOVE it! My first try was an eye-opener with regards to how much hotter the Ooni can get. Now, I'm more careful and have made some extraordinary pizza and other dishes. I couldn't be happier. The most difficult part of the process is reaching/ maintaining the desired temperature.
This might be the best thing I ever bought
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We make pizza once a week at minimum now, this makes for such a fun date night, it’s easy to use, easy to clean, and makes amazing pizzas. My only complaint is the peel is almost too big to rotate the pizza once it’s in the oven but once you get used to it it’s not as bad, I suggest getting a smaller pizza rotating peel if you’ve never made pizzas like this before. You have to be careful with the wood and making sure the fire doesn’t go out on you, especially if you’re making multiple pizzas. Overall, I’d buy it again, and I am for my dad’s house. Move over pizza chains, I’m taking on pizza night myself!
Great pizzas!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few newbie failures, I’m starting to get the hang of the oven. I tend to put a lot of ingredients on my pizza, and it makes it difficult to get off the peel and onto the stone. But someone told me to cook the pie for a few seconds before putting the ingredients on. This works great for me! I’m using charcoal to get an even and high temperature, and just before cooking the pizza, I throw on some hardwood like oak or cherry. This gets it blazing hot, and creates a good top flame. After maybe 4-5 attempts with not so great results, I now feel that I have a method that works great now!
Best Gift Ever ❤️
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of my husband talking about a pizza oven I decided to surprise him with the Ooni multi-fueled pizza oven for Father’s Day. The look on his face was priceless when he opened his gift. He’s having a blast cooking pizzas and even steaks! The quality and ease-of-portability design allows for cooking at home or while camping!
I love it, once heated
I love it, once heated up, every 90 seconds (plus or minus a few seconds) you have a great tasting pizza! Great for a getting together with friends and family! I also cooked pork chops and sausage on the cast-iron inserts. What a great idea. We use it all the time!
