I'm used to using Chinese-style chopsticks, and these feel like Korean ones. Thin, metal style. I really wanted to keep them as I'm trying to be more responsible when buying takeout to BYO utensils. Returned unfortunately! really wanted to love and keep them because they're lightweight, Made in Japan and should last a long time.

Too small for everyday use
Jason
I find these are too small for everyday use. If you're trying to save every gram while backpacking, these would be acceptable. But for home use, these are small, even for Japanese chopsticks. Since they are smooth metal, food tends to slide off easier than with typical bamboo take-out chopsticks. Additionally, they aren't round, which is another strike against their everyday usability. On the upside, they're well-made (like every other Snow Peak product I've seen), and they're made in Japan. I think Snow Peak should make a larger size, more appropriate for daily use at home.

Bring Back the Snow Peak Silicone Chopsticks

I have been using the original Snow Peak silicone chopsticks for a number of years for cooking as well as regular eating utensils on the trail and at home. They are extremely versatile for cooking due to their size and shape as well as the material which has high heat tolerance and does not conduct heat while being held during cooking. For eating, food is easy to handle and stays on the chopsicks much better due to the size and shape. The replacement titanium chopsticks are relegated to being a one-trick pony, and barely that. Due to the skinny short length of the titanium chopsticks, food is much more difficult to handle. Rice, for example, falls off the chopsticks too easily due to the much skinnier and round shape of the chopsticks and the slippery nature of the anadized titanium. and the short length makes picking up food much more awkward, as a previous reviewer described. The length of the chopstick is inadequate to keep the hands of the cook away from the heat and because titanium is a good heat conductor, it is not practical as the silicone for cooking.

Switched to Titanium Chopsticks

I recently upgraded to titanium chopsticks and honestly, it’s been a game changer. They’re sleek, easy to clean, and they don’t wear out like wooden ones do. If you’re wondering whether titanium is worth it, this post lays it all out really well: Why Titanium Chopsticks Are Better Than Wood. Definitely worth checking out before your next set!

The perfect travel/camping chopsticks.

I keep these chopsticks with me everywhere I go - when they're not in my pack, they live in my glove box when travellings for work. They're super light weight, take up little room, durable as heck and cleanup quickly and easily. Plus being titanium and made in Japan are a couple of awesome bonuses from such a solid company. Most meals I make lately are rice, veggie, and light, so these are perfect for much lunches on the go, in the car (parked of course, not wanting to live a horror story of airbags going off and chopsticks ending me at 70mph) or in the office - added junkfood bonus: using them to eat sheets leaves your fingers clean. Overall, I highly recommend having a good buy-it-for-life set of chopsticks. You won't regret the quality and usefulness of this set.

Very small & light

My hands are not small so I thought these would be too small but they are perfect. Much easier to control and handle than the wooden disposable ones. These are my favorites. Easy to clean too.

What's wrong with actual sticks?

I want to like these chopsticks, but honestly I've ended up using an actual, found pair of sticks instead on the trail. At my dinner site, So these seemed like an unnecessary 0.77 oz to carry, and were returned.

perfect size and weight

They are the best pair ever purchased. There is no metallic taste from any type of food. Small tip allows for precise handling of any chopstick friendly food. Light weight and stiffness is just right. Also has a great nylon storage sleeve.
