Finally a bonfire!
I own several of the xl fire pits. As much as I appreciate the large fire pit it was never really sufficient as a fire pit for a bonfire the XL is considerably larger and deeper so therefore it can hold more firewood. It is made of the same high-quality steel as the smaller sizes and is just as packable as all the others. I have spoken with the people at Snow Peak and they are working on bringing out more accessories for this larger size during the coming months, if you’re looking to have large fires that put out a lot of heat and can fit more people around it this model is the one to buy.
Love this fire pit
Great product very solid and well made We have the XL and it replaced a cheap metal fireplace we bought on Amazon. This snow peak fire pit is double the price but 100 times the quality. We love it. The XL is about 2 feet square so it’ll hold large pieces of wood. The shape funnels the wood to the center if you let it burn all the wood will burn and you’ll have nothing but ash to remove. It’s folds flat and is maybe a couple inches thick. Easy to store. Feels so well made that I expect it’ll last many years. I might get a smaller one too that’s a bit more portable. This big one weighs 24 pounds so we will keep it at the house. Put something below the fire pit to catch the falling ash.
