I went on a camping weekend after receiving this backpack. It is comfortable and fits like a dream. There is a spot for all the essentials. I hate carrying things, in my hands when walking/hiking, so this bag is perfect for keeping you hydrated while keeping your hands free. The hip belt pockets are within reach and this bag is so lightweight I forget I’m wearing it! Kudos to this company for making such a body inclusive product and really thinking about what plus size hikers need on the trails! This is the best backpack I have ever owned. I can’t wait to take it on more adventures!
Thanks for taking Gregory on your adventures!
Overall: this is a great daypack!! Pros: The water bladder sits in its own pocket, which is awesome because it doesn't interfere with space in the rest of the pack. The regular compartment includes tons of space that can hold the 10 essentials. There is a pocket with a zipper that can hold keys and other small items you don't want to get lost. I just feel like I'm also finding little spots to stash stuff and I love it! Super comfy straps and it's become my everyday pack! Cons:
I LOVE THIS PACK. I was so excited that this line was released just in time for a big trip to Colorado. It fits like an absolute dream, and with room to spare. I typically wear a 2X/3X, and I'm so used to forcing things to work for me and settling with discomfort, but there was clearly so much care and intent in the design of this bag. The hip belt fits fantastically and is so supportive, so I barely felt weight on my back at all, even carrying 3L water and a DSLR camera with lenses. It feels so secure to wear. The hydration pack integration is great, and I love the sunglasses and hiking pole holding abillity as well. I made it to the top of a mountain with this pack, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
I am really impressed with the Juno 30 H20! I had a hydration pack years ago and I hated it because it would never fully dry. I had heard great things about Gregory's packs though so I decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did! The item arrived quickly after I ordered it. The reservoir is super easy to remove from the pack and wash. I did have some trouble getting the hose to curve and properly attach to the magnet on the front of the shoulder strap, but I figured it out after a few tries. I only filled the reservoir 2/3rds full (2 liters), as I was only going on a 3 mile hike. I was pleasantly surprised at how light the pack felt, even with 2 liters of water. I have a 6 month old baby, and my primary reason for wanting a hydration pack is that it's hard to stop and drink water on our outdoor adventures, and I've found myself getting dehydrated more than once this summer. Having the ability to just grab the bite valve and drink, even when I'm holding my baby or pushing her stroller, was a huge lifesaver! As a bonus, I was also able to fit plenty of diapers, wipes, changing supplies, and baby bottles in the many pockets in the pack, along with sunscreen and bug spray in the front stretch pocket. My first outing with this pack was on a sweltering early July Alabama afternoon, and I greatly appreciated the ventilated suspension with moisture wicking mesh. Normally after a summertime hike I end up drenched in sweat under my pack, but I was pleasantly back sweat-free after using the Juno 30 H20 pack. After our hike, I emptied the reservoir and hung it up in my shower using the drying hanger. It was fully dry in a couple of days. I look forward to continuing to use it on my stroller-hikes, and I know that once my kid is hiking age we will get even more use out of it on longer hikes.
As someone who over prepares for everything, i’m usually stuffing a small pack to the top. With this pack because of the water hideaway and ample pockets EVERYTHING HAS A SPOT. I’m a 5x and this is the first bag that fit me after years of just dealing with. The hip pockets and easily reachable shoulder straps make life so much easier. Also, because there is a little “lip” on the back of the pack it’s perfect to stand your phone and take photos of your self if you’re hiking solo!
I bought my Gregory pack about a month ago and have now taken it on a few hikes. First I’m thrilled with the fit! The hip belt sits where it should and I no longer have the backpack hitting me in the top of my bum with every step I take because it doesn’t fit me properly. I love where the pockets are on the hip belt. It’s SO easy to get things out and I no longer feel like I’m reaching around my back to get things out of those pockets. Finally the fit of the straps is amazing. First time I’ve worn a tank top and not had chafing in my arms from the angle of the straps. The only reason I didn’t give this pack 5 stars was the actual size. It says it’s 30L in size but yet I don’t seem to be able to fit the same amount inside as my other 30L packs. And it’s seems smaller side by side too. I would also have loved bigger zipper pockets (inside and out) for my smaller items (headlamp, batteries, emergency blanket, medications, snack bars, sunglasses) Maybe I pack too much for a day hike, but around here you need emergency gear in case you accidentally have to spend the night. However I will definitely be buying more backpacks in the plus size line, particularly for overnight and possibly a slightly larger one for long day hikes. Thanks Gregory for giving me comfort and inclusion!
Were psyched you are including us on your hikes!
I had read about this pack, tried a dozen others and decided to wait for it to come back in stock. It's everything it's cracked up to be. I broke it in on a 13-mile hike and it was amazing! Incredibly comfortable fit, strong waist stabilization, extremely adjustable and great capacity. I did struggle with a few of the fasteners - the chest belt has a twist closure which I didn't get right away, and I also needed help understanding how to use the water reservoir. A tutorial video might be useful. Other than that, it's amazing and I look forward to many happy years hiking with this. On the part of busty women everywhere, thanks for making something that actually fits us!
This pack has all the features that I was looking for and was super excited when it came, especially to have a hip belt that actually fit my hips. I had to deduct a star as I was not able to keep the pack because it was just too big for me. Pulling all the straps in tightly everything was too loose and the non plus size version doesn’t work either. I have between a pear and an hourglass shape. I wear between a 2x to 3x in outdoor gear pants and between a 1x to 2x in tops. My roommate wears roughly same size but is shaped differently and the pack fit her perfectly.
A comfortable, functional pack great for 2 to 12 mile day hikes with high-quality 3L bladder system included. I take this on all my hikes and love the fit, functionality, and hydration bladder!
Overall I really like the pack as it is very comfortable, a great size for my needs and has good features. But unfortunately the water hose clip, which holds the chest strap onto the pack, broke the second day I used it. Without the clip, there is no way to re-attach the chest strap. Also the magnet that holds the valve-end of the water hose onto the chest strap, which I originally thought was a great feature, is not strong enough to actually hold the valve in place. Once the hose is full of water it easily pulls off the magnet with the slightest of movement.
