Thin but durable, waist is a bit loose
The "Tall" inseam is the main reason I bought these pants. I wear them hiking and camping and they have held up well. They are thin and durable, no tears or rips so far, and even in the summer heat I don't overheat in them or get sweat marks. I love the large zip pockets. The only thing I would change is that although they fit around my hips, the waist looks/feels a bit loose. The fabric waistband does not feel tight on my skin and gapes a bit, but luckily there is a drawstring that I tie tightly to keep them up. I am 5'9" 140 lbs and got a Medium. I like the slim but not skin-tight fit.
Absolutely love!
This is my first dedicated pair of hiking pants that I have ever invested in and I love them. I never thought I needed a pair but now that I have them, I am obsessed. They are super comfortable with a hidden drawstring waistband and they stretch and move for climbing and hiking. They dry quickly from sweat or water. I love the zipper pockets—they are big enough to fit my phone and several other items in. It also doesn’t hurt that they are designed to look very cute and flattering on. I would love to buy in other colors
Great features, tie waist and zip pockets
I like this lightweight pant. I probably could have sized down. I’m 5’2, 128 lbs, a 29 in waist and a rectangle build. I have extra room around the waist but I’ve decided to keep the pant instead of chancing a small and use the tie. I’ve found I recently had to upsize in a couple other Prana pants that have become snug in a smaller size. These are comfortable and I’ve worn them several times already with feeling squeezed around the middle and they don’t look overly baggy in the legs
Love love love!
I ordered a second pair of these after wearing for a couple weeks straight. They are so comfy, great for summer weather, have a drawstring inside and loop drawstrings at bottom of pants to tighten. I'm 5'3" 110# and the regular length XS fit me great. Maybe could have gotten short version. But I prefer length for bug protection. Zipper pockets. Not a lot of fabric so I wouldn't recommend these pants for high intensity activities.
Fragile
I love these pants but wow are they fragile. After a hike on an overgrown trail I came back with two snags in the fabric. The inner hem seams are already fraying bad too. I’ve worn/washed them 8-10 times? Sad.
Almost perfect
I have 2 pairs of the prana Halle hiking pants that I’ve used for years. I appreciate the fact that prana makes petite hiking pants. The only thing I didn’t like about the Halle was the fact that the button digged into me when I had my pack belt on and the inner tie was cumbersome. Without the tie, the pants would fall down. I was hoping the elastic waist on these would solve the problem but thewaist is too loose for the overall size and I still have to use the tie. Also, the cinch ankle is nice but there is no toggle to keep it cinched. Otherwise the pants are great. A bit thinner than my Halle, so I would use them in warmer climates.
These pants rock!
FINALLY the perfect PrAna pant! These are my 5th pair of PrAna pants - all of which were different styles. Some of which I've returned, some of which I've kept, all of which I've had gripes with. The Halle pant came the closest to love - but they get so stretched after one use without the tie they will fall right down, plus the pocket situation was seriously lacking. Other PrAna pants - the elastic waist was so tight on my belly I couldn't imagine say, wearing them on a long plane ride. These Koen pants solved everything! The waist is elastic but it's not constricting like other PrAna pants. I have skinny legs, and these fit slim-ish through the legs. With other PrAna pants, the bootie, knees and thighs were so baggy it looked ridiculous. And there are functional pockets! Just two, mind you, but you can put your whole hand in there and they zip up. Perfect for phone, passport, ID, chapstick...you get it. The material is thin but's that's what I wanted. Just know it's thinner than some other PrAna pants. Material is stretchy so you can squat and such - allows for great freedom of movement. They hit just the top of my shoe at the bottom and do lend nicely to cuffing if you want to go that route. For reference I'm 5'8'', 135 lbs, waist 30'', hips 36''. I was looking for the perfect travel pant that I could look put together in airports and sleep on the airplane, plus go from hikes to cafe to dinner - and these check all of those boxes! Woo-hoo!
My new favorite pants
Love these hikers. They are slim fitting but not tight, thin enough that I’m not sweating in them but warm enough to hike in mid 30 degrees. The waist is not at all pinchy and they don’t make a swishy sound. I’ll be buying more for hiking, walking , errands, and travel. I plan to take them to Sweden and Norway this summer. The medium tall is good for my 5’10” , 160#, middle aged frame. I’m going to buy a large as well for a looser fit but the medium is very comfortable too.
Love Love Hate
This is my second pair, I love the fit, the stretch, the color. Hate that this pair pilled in the seat on my first wear. I’ve been wearing a black pair nearly nonstop for months. Unfortunately the grape leaf pair didn’t make it a day in nearly identical conditions.
Beware the inner tag will eventually show
I own 2 pairs in different colors and absolutely love the fit. However now that ive had them a while i noticed that the adhesive on the inner tags have leaked through the fabric on both pairs. I follow washing instructions, is it normal wear amd tear?
