I might be the only one but this shirt is itchy! I don't mind how thin it is as other reviews I've read on SmartWool claim it is warm. Sadly I'll never know as it is so itchy I'll never wear it. Fits snug as it should although the lower arms are a bit baggy. The body length and arm length are nice and long.

Love this shirt! I got an xxl cause I didn’t want it to be to tight, so its a little loose in the body, but you can still feel the warmth. think this shirt has a ton of potential for just hanging around and winter sports. Love the style and functionality. This will be in regular rotation for sure!

I am a big fan of the Smartwool all-wool base layers and have several of the thermal and the all-season. It took me a few minutes to get used to the intraknit base layer. It fits a little more snuggly and lays around my neck a bit differently. So if you are like me, know that there will be a difference and you will notice it. At first! In the end, though, it offers the warmth and quality of the all-wool variety and disappears on your skin after wearing it for a short time. It feels about as warm as the all-wool and moves well on my body.

Clearly well made and comfortable against the skin. I bought this after using the Smartwool selection tool where I said this would be used casually (not active) in <25 degree F weather. I have the garment on and I'm sitting indoors writing this and the temperature is 67 F and I really can't say I'm all that warm. That makes me wonder just how comfortable I'd be outdoors where the temp is now 37 F and sleeting. Full disclosure: I'm old. Nevertheless I'm glad I bought it.

I wanted to like this layer. It almost immediately started piling. And, looked bad after one gentle cycle wash in cold water; with threads coming apart. It continued to decline over a year of limited wearing and washing. And, has developed two holes at the wait line from friction. Save your money and try something different. It was light and had pretty good thermal regulation. It just didn't have the value that I was hoping for.

Wore it once (overnight in a sleeping bag). next morning fabric was pilling.

Snug, not constrictive. I tried a larger size, but I would recommend your usual size but know it's a form fit. A wonderful first base layer. I like wearing only a shell jacket when I ski and layering underneath. This is a wonderful addition to the base layers I already own as it will work underneath anything else that isn't form-fitted. Speaking of skiing, a warning is if this fabric comes in contact with the 'grabby' side of any velcro cuff closure, ski straps, power straps, or anything with velcro as it's prone to snags/pulls.

An awesome lightweight base layer that doesn't sacrifice warmth. I use this primarily for snowboarding. Where I'm from, I tend to ride in very cold conditions. This layer gives me plenty of warmth beneath my mid layer and shell jacket. I also like how it fits tight, yet it doesn't restrict your mobility.

What is surprise! A Christmas gift that I will remember from every Christmas hereafter. Yep. I've become pretty accustomed to getting clothing that's either the wrong size, the wrong color, or the wrong fit. But when I slipped on this smart wool base layer I cannot tell you just how gobsmacked I was. It is by far the most comfortable piece of clothing I've ever worn. The first sensation is of its absolute softness and comfort. Then, the way it moved in unison with every part of my torso, shoulders, and arms was exhilarating. It was like it was part of me… but more comfortable! I will be hard-pressed to think of a better gift to give or receive, or piece of clothing to enjoy. You have absolutely won me over. I'm a smartwool convert. Oh, and I almost forgot, it makes my torso look like that of a Greek god.
