Used for the first time up in the southern sierra nevada and it kept me warm w the help of an extra small blanket stuffed inside. The temps at night hovered in the high 50 low 60s, so might not be ideal for colder weather. The design w the straps is a little funky, it takes a little while to figure out. Not bad for a multi day camping trip
I bought this quilt to see if I would even like using a quilt. It's a good jumping off point, and I've enjoyed using it so far. The way it attaches to the pad seems a little flimsy and kept coming unattached at night. Definitely not for colder weather. Worked for around 65F for me.
This bag is very similar to my sleeping situation at home and I'm looking forward to using it when camping. During the initial testing phase, I could feel that the bag was warm and it allows for ample movement under the quilt (which I like). An area that I would prefer to have improved is that this bag isn't very soft. Ideally, I would like it to feel like a soft down bag. Very happy with my purchase thus far.
Used this on a boundary waters trip in September. It kept me warm enough with my layers on, but I couldn't use it wrapped around my long Exped Dura 3R. The squared shape of my pad doesn't work well with the tapered pad pocket and makes it even shorter; I'm 6'4 do it only came up about to mid chest. I ended up using it more like a blanket with a foot pocket. I'd say only buy this if you are under 6ft with a regular length pad, and it should work out well as a quilt.
This top quilt perfectly fits what I needed in a late Spring/Summer weight for hammock camping. The first night I used it the temperature dropped to the low 40's and I was very comfortable that night. The quality seems solid at this point and it stows neatly in my SUV.
over all the bag was warm, but I am a big guy and the bag would not stay tucked under my sleeping pad. used it this passed weekend and it got down to 20 degrees. I was warm, kept waking up to tuck in the sides. Son, who is bigger than i am said it was not good at all.
I bought these quilts for our travel trailer. I hate getting twisted up in a sleeping bag. These quilts are easy to store and very easy to use. They keep us warm at night. Are very comfortable to sleep in and they don't fall of the bed at night like a regular quilt does. For use in our trailer, they are the perfect solution.
The fill is a bit stiff, otherwise a very nice product.
The product was shipped fast the quality is very nice and with the large foot box it let's you use it with mummy bags for extra warm witch is a nice touch
I used this camping in the Sierras at around 10-12k feet. Temperatures got down to the 40s. It was very cold in the quilt which didn't hold heat. The quilt would be ok for temps in mid 50s and up but otherwise I don't recommend it.
