Only used once so far for a 10 mile excursion with 4,500 feet of elevation gain- after the first few miles and a few thousand feet up, I was sold. The padding is extremely comfortable even with close to 30 pounds in the pack. With wind gusts approaching 50 miles an hour at the summit of Mt Madison, (NH), this bag felt extremely stable on my back even while jumping and hoping from rock to rock, no sliding/swaying. I especially love the front zip open feature that gives you access to the main compartment. Its absolutely perfect for quick access to your items when you're on a time crunch. Zippers feel rugged. Overall materials used seem tough. The built in rain cover is an added bonus. Extremely satisfied initially.
Pretty good backpack, I bought it on sale at the REI outlet. It's not the lightest backpack, but very sturdy, comfortable adjustable straps. I've only taken it out on a 2 night 3 day backpacking trip thus far and it held up well. I haven't had the chance to see if it holds well in the rain, it does come with a rain cover though. Roomy main compartment with access from the front of the pack. I like that it goes from 40L to 60L. This way I can use it on longer trips as well.
I took it to 2 nights 3 days hiking and it felt pretty good! Better than my mountain Smith 60 L backpack ! It fits everything I'd usually pack and still have a lot of room left ! And ohh yeah I love the color very pretty!
Took this camping for the first time. I liked how compact everything carried, but i wish it had more storage pockets. You mostly have two two hip pockets, the two water bottle pockets, and the back stretch pocket. The hip pockets zipper require two hands to use; I had to stop in order to open them and make sure nothing fell out.
The fit and feel on this pack is phenomenal. The only issue I have is that I can’t reach the side water bottle pouches without taking the pack off. K fixed this with a shoulder pad mounted carrier. The other issue is that the waist strap pouches are not one hand operation as the zippers are a bit stiff. This May correct itself over time. This is a great starter pack and the adjustable means I can hand it off to family member or friends after I upgrade. Over all great value and versatility on this equipment.
I've only taken it on one trip so far, but it functioned well and held up. Strong pack.
This is an amazing pack on the trails it carries weight so well and could not be happier with this!!! (also an amazing price!)
Seems like a well-built bag after my first trip out. I think it was really good buy!
One big backpack with one big compartment with two smaller pouches located on the hip straps. That’s it. Don’t expect to have small compartments for things like a compass, matches, or even a camp life. In this way the bag has its limits. But if you want a backpack with one big compartment, this backpack is made for you.
