Good for warmth when sweaty

I tend to run hot AND sweat a lot, even when it's cold. I wore this on a hike that started out at 30 degrees and I was chilly very briefly until I warmed up, but then I was comfortable. It kept me warm when the wind blew, and wasn't too hot when I was exerting myself and sweating. I usually wear a 2x and got a 3x (for layering) and it was a little large, so the sizing is probably correct. The arms were long but I rolled them up. I would definitely recommend this as an outer layer for cold weather (not raining) if you need something wicking that is also somewhat breathable if you are exerting yourself. If you're sitting around on a break during exercise, you'll probably need an additional layer to stay warm. I was thrilled to actually find something in athletic outerwear in my size that worked.

LOVE

This is sooo soft. I can't wait to use it for cross country skiing. I'm not a runner but this is the perfect weight and fabric for any kind of outdoor activity where it's cold but you still are gonna get warm. It's lightweight but cozy and still breathable. Plus it stretches all the ways so it doesn't feel binding like so many other midlayers do. This is going to be my go to for winter activities where I need to move a lot, get warm, but still need some decent warmth.
