So I've had this jacket for a bit over a year and previously had used it as a casual jacket it worked well as both an outer shell for fall/spring but also great as a mid layer with a jacket over it. Recently took a multi-day backpacking trip and if there was one piece of gear that I relied on, this would be it. It was super versatile and a piece that I wore every single day. If I got hot, I would take it off and stuff it in my bag, if I got cold it was equally as easy to put on. The hood on this jacket is also quite amazing in that it snuggles your head to keep you warm. I couldn't recommend this jacket enough.
Great jacket functionally but the colors are horrifying. I never liked anything about this jacket except that of all my many jackets this is the one I grabbed 90% of the time so you have to factor in empirical reality. Its a great jacket if you don't care about how you look and most people don't these days. I got the textile green and we all agreed its too awful for words. Looks feminine and tacky. We tried to think of what would this textile green be a good color for and all we could come up with was pots and skillets. Highly recommended, though, otherwise.
I wear this while walking on cold mornings and also hiking. I use it as a top layer, with a waffle knit and undershirt for temps around freezing and for colder temps I wear a true base layer. I am blow away by how comfortable it is, keeps me amazingly warm without ever feeling overheated. Extremely light, flexible, soft, and not bulky!
I recently wore this for the first time in sub-zero conditions while skiing in Montana. Even when outside in just this hoodie (while the ambient temp was -4 degrees Fahrenheit) I felt warm. My body was never cold flying downhill with this as my mid layer, and I was impressed at how comfortable I felt especially given how light this piece is! It’s soft to the touch, has the right amount of stretch, and is incredibly warm. Can’t recommend it enough, although I would recommend using a coupon or waiting for a sale since the price is steep!
Super comfortable, texture is like wearing a cloud. Keeps you comfortable in a wide range of temps, can easily layer a sweatshirt underneath or a shell on top. Very versatile garment. Fits true to size.
I've wanted this jacket for a few years now. Decided to pull the trigger and get one. Biggest factor for me is does it make me smile when I put it on and it Def does this. The material is amazing and not bulky. I wanted this jacket for chilly mornings at rifle lime creek and winter shelf climbing and I don't this this will disappoint. Is this jacket meant for high alpine I would say no. But I love it
Absolutely fantastic jacket. Great quality, super lightweight but very warm and versatile. Used it this winter in camping trip to Death valley and up to 28 F. Even without any activities it held good warmth with midweight base layer. The soft material gives next to skin feel and comfort. Looks great too. Just wash inside out to avoid fabric damage which is the only thing I wish could be improved.
Great hoody! I was looking for something light weight but warm. This delivers both. I've worn it in the upper 20's with some light undershirts and have kept pretty warm. It also is really comfortable in warmer weather when you just want to kill a bit of a cool breeze. I just wish it stayed cleaner...I live and work on a farm so the bright blue turned brown pretty quick.
Very light and warm. Form fitting design which allows this hoodie to be used as a base layer under a shell. Patagonia quality is evident throughout. I'm moderately hard on my gear and all my Patagonia jackets have lasted for many years. Highly recommended.
