Good, but not super warm

The coat is good, just not warm enough for real cold weather (say 30s and below), not enough filling (although there’s room for it). The cuffs aren’t adjustable and aren’t tight enough for me to keep cold air out. ( so I put gloves on first to fill the gap). And even following the washing and drying directions exactly, the filling bunches up in clumps and it’s hard but not impossible to even out. On the plus side, it does a good job keeping dry, even in rain, and I bought it big enough to wear a heavy sweater underneath for the coldest days. I also love how much of the coat is from recycled materials. If you’re ok with these issues (I am), I would recommend.

Returned - not warm enough for Canadian winters, no zips on front pockets, strange bulky fit considering it isn't a particularly heavy jacket.

Stitching Coming Undone

Haven’t even had this jacket a year and the stitching on the right front pocket has begun to come undone. A matter of time before the whole pocket comes off. I don’t put anything in it besides my phone, hand, or a glove occasionally.

Shows every speck of dust/dirt

Got this coat in green, it looks and fits so good- it is pretty stiff so maybe not great if you’ll be moving around a lot. I would have kept it but it attracts the slightest bit of dust and then is hard to brush off. For instance after getting out of the car and brushing against the outside it looked terrible. Also I picked up my kid once and the dust from her shoes was all over it. Was so excited for this but it’s too high maintenance and too expensive to easily look so dirty. The non-shiny material was what I loved about the coat, but I guess that makes more dirt cling to it. Super bummed!

Really warm! BUT....

The coat is so warm, and it fits very well, EXCEPT the sleeves are too narrow. Im 5'4" at 118 and like things fairly roomy so I purchased a Medium. The coat fit perfectly except the sleeves are uncomfortably narrow. Very difficult to fit even a lift sweater beneath. With such a warm coat, going out, when would you not need a sweater at the destination? Poor design. I purchased with my REI dividend points so I might keep it and wear with a -t shirt but its uncomfortable and very expensive. You can kind of tell from the model in the photo that the sleeves are awkward.

Great warm coat but inadequate outside pockets

I would have given this coat 5 stars except for the previously mentioned problem that the material attracts any dust particle around and because of the size, shape and position of the outside pockets. The two pockets sit on top of each other. The outer one has a flap which limits the opening to only 4 3/4 " which makes it difficult to stow larger objects. The inner pocket has a 6" opening. Since the opening to both pockets is on an angle I find that I can stow only a cell phone, keys, handkerchief and maybe a small cap. Also the position of the pockets makes it awkward to walk with hands in a pocket. That said, I am keeping this coat because the hood is adjustable, a feature that is almost impossible to find in women's winter coats or jackets. I bought a size small which allows me to wear a warm jacket underneath and that keeps me comfortably warm.

Perfect winter coat

I have never loved a winter coat like this one. I love the look of it. I have the green… it’s a beautiful coat. But more importantly, it is the most practical coat I’ve had. It’s perfectly warm for Philadelphia winter (playing in the snow with my kids, walking in the city). It’s great in the rain also. It’s worth every penny. Actually buying the mens version for my husband.

Great if you don't plan on being in snow

I love this jacket but it's not even remotely water resistant, after less then 20 min in light snow the arms were soaked through

Beautiful Green Coat

This is a high-quality coat and very warm. The cut is a bit boxy, which I don't mind as I plan to wear layers under it. I agree with the other reviews that the matte finish on the exterior material does get dirty easily compared to other winter jackets I own that have more of a shiny finish. The hood is very fitted. I got the green color and get many compliments.

Not for me

The coat looked to be fine, but some real deal breakers, unfortunately. Short sleeves, boxy middle with no internal cinch and a high maintenance shell that collects dust and dirt. Way too much work to keep looking nice.
