Can’t believe my gamma pants are literally falling to bits. . Most of the welded (not sure if that is the correct term) seams have come apart. The waistband in particular is hardly intact. Admittedly, I have had these pants for some years but they weren’t cheap!
WHY are these so tight/skinny in the thigh and butt area??? I am 6’3 and fit, I bought these as a beefier version of my Gamma LT for upcoming “winter” treks in northern cal, but these are so tight that I don’t see myself being able to put a legging underneath and move freely. Sadly I will be returning these. Maybe I need to size up in the waist?? But a size 36 waist usually fits me like a glove. Larger/athletic men beware. My girlfriend said they make my butt look juicy but sadly babe these are meant to me moved around in.
I usually like the changes made to new versions, but I am quite disappointed in these. I bought them to replace my 2019 Gamma AR pants, which I used as my main winter pants. I can't imagine using the new version for the same purpose. The material is way thinner. And the fit is much slimmer, not great for layering underneath or fitting them over big boots. I have the regular Gamma pants in the same size and they fit way better. Not really sure what the use case is here with the new ARs. Maybe the MX is the new winter pant?
1.Fit is unfortunately a Lot more slim fit. 2.Fabric is Different than the older version. I have the 2023 versiĂłn and this current new fabric is Slightly thinner and feels not so embodied. I bought 2 units to feed my needs for a long time because i wanted them for my 1st option and, sadly, when i tried, they were so slim that i had to return them. A real pity
This is the best pair of trousers Arc'teryx has produced to date; they are more versatile, feature a slimmer fit, and are supremely comfortable. And that’s coming from someone who owns five different models.
To whom it may concern, I’m disappointed with the current version of the Gamma AR pants compared to the 2023 model. The previous iteration delivered exactly what this product promised: durable materials, excellent finishing, and a regular, functional fit suited to a serious technical pant. The current version represents a clear departure from that standard. I struggle to understand the decision to move toward a slim/skinny-style cut. This change reduces functionality and versatility, and it is also difficult to justify from a design perspective, as this silhouette has been out of fashion for several years. As a result, the pant no longer works optimally either as technical equipment or as a modern, well-designed garment. Compounding this issue, the overall build quality appears to have declined while the price has increased, which further undermines the value proposition. I would strongly recommend reassessing this direction and considering a return to the fit, materials, and construction standards of earlier versions. That approach would better align with the product’s original purpose and long-term customer expectations. Sincerely, Antonio.
I have worn these a couple times since I bought them. Very comfortable. Looking at getting a second pair. Fir as described.
Excellent fit, I’m 6ft 85kg and got the 34inch waist which is a comfortable fit.
Really good quality, fit perfectly, maybe need more packets. Love it
Perfect for mountain, and city life. Maybe during spring o autumn
