Sizing chart smaller than most

Lets start with this--I should have read more carefully. A large in this brand is more like a medium in most others. Their waist measurement in the chart is not actually for your waist, but for 4 inches below it; again, I didn't read well enough. I have 44 inch hips and these were 3 inches from closing, meaning they'd close, but be very fitted on a person with 40in hip measurement, which is what they say should fit. I don't see that working for doing something active in these. They do not have stretch and are slim cut for sure. I bought the goblin blue and the outer fabric and finishes are very pretty, like modern train conductor vibes. The inner lining on the legs is gross polyester blend, like the inside of old sleeping bags. So idk, this bib is a total mixed bag.

Super warm without bulk, flattering fit

I have two other pairs of 686 pants both small, the fit on these bibs is comparable. I'm 5'4'' 105lbs and got the small. Flattering fit and the length is perfect. At first I thought they were a little tight around the thighs, but they didn't restrict movement at all and they are super comfortable even with a thicker base layer under. They are very thin, but warm. I had them on for a couple 13 degree days recently (base layer under) and I was on fire, had to the open the vents multiple times. Totally dry all day in deep powder (vents closed ) . Great pockets, great color. I got the curry yellow ones, super sharp. Couldn't be happier with these bibs.

These are not designed for an athletic body

I have no idea what type of woman participating in outdoor sports would be able to fit their quads into these pants. I'm no Saquan Barkley, but these bibs made me feel like I was pulling two boa constrictors over my legs. The XS was also too long (I'm 5'1"), so I won't be able to go up to a S. They are both too small and too big.

Great match for my needs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are long enough for my 33" inseam, have a side zipper for my hips to get situated before we head out into the cold, have great pocket access, and the insulation is perfect for snow blowing, snow sitting, snow socializing and snow skiing. The straps are comfy, stretchy and I still have room to loosen them in case I get taller. Perhaps the only downside between picking a L vs XL in these is that I don't have as much room to layer tops or bottoms under the bibs. For reference: I'm 5'9" 185#. My regular pant size is 10 Long (Old Navy) and my shirt size is men's medium. I generally do a lot of snow sitting and playing, so coverage, stretch and length were all important factors for me.

I am so far very

I am so far very happy with these bibs. If you spend a lot of time sitting I’d maybe go for something with higher waterproof protection but for the occasional tumbles and sitting long enough to strap in, they do great ! Initially I ordered this and the Women's Geode Thermagraph Bib (higher waterproof protection). I decided on the Magic because I like the less baggy fit. I am 5’7’’ 130 pounds and went for small as the model was 5’8’’ wearing small. I would be happy if they were a tiny bit longer but they cover the boots well…just a preference on the look I guess. But the size width is perfect so I didn’t want to go up to a M. Recommend if you dont like the extra bulk ! Comfy on the slopes!

Odd Fit

These are nice, but the legs were way too long (my legs are relatively short for my body), and while they fit well over my hips, the back part was super huge and baggy. I could solve that with a heavy fleece jacket underneath, but I found others that fit my body much better. The fabric in these was very nice, but probably not durable enough for what I want to use them for. Finally, these don’t have the drop tail, which I’ve decided is a must. Edited to add: I didn’t care for the strap arrangement. They don’t actually unclip, but have sliders to adjust the size. Once I made them short enough to fit properly, it was difficult to get them on and off. Plus, as someone else mentioned, the fabric is not stiff enough to keep the straps from bunching and the oblong loops from getting askew.

Great fit!

Comfy fit. True to size. Legs are regular cut with just enough room if you want to slip in a pair of knee pads. Length is about average, not too long or too short. My bib is a very pretty baby blue/periwinkle. Lining is very soft. Have not tested on slopes yet b/c I bought them during the Mem Day sale, but looking forward to it. Can update review after real use RE: waterproofing

Great bibs, but needs a better buckle design

Comfortable bibs that keep me warm & dry. Just wish the straps were better designed as they don't stay flat in the plastic buckle when taking the arms on and off.

Very cute but not to actually ride in

Very disappointed. Bought these for my daughters birthday present. Went to Copper Mountain and was unable to get the bottom of the pant leg over her boots she wears to ride on her snow board, even with the snaps open. Looks stupid with the inside gator over the boots and the shell bunched up below the knee. Major design flaw. Hopefully the store will take them back. Still have the tags, just not attached, and the gift receipt.
