It makes your hands dry. And chalky. Comes in a big bag. Full of big chunks that are fun to smash and crumble. Made of the same stuff that more expensive chalk is made of. Just like the things teachers used to use to write on the board before school entered virtual reality. Best use is for when you get on the subway and the driver is going like a bat outa heck around corners and you absolutely have to maintain grip on those smooth metal poles or else you’ll end up on the lap of some sweaty, stinky guy named Ace. Have chalk fights with friends at after hours parties, or serve it as popcorn to gullible people and small children.
Great price and amazing product
I’ve tried a lot of climbing chalks over the years, but Metolius Super Chalk totally stands out as the best by far. This stuff sticks like a champ, keeps my hands dry longer, and doesn’t turn into a messy cloud every time I open the container. The 15 oz size is perfect — enough to last me through weeks of climbing without having to constantly refill. Whether I’m crushing boulders or sending routes, this chalk gives me the grip and confidence I need. The vanilla ice cream of chalk
There is nothing fancy about this chalk. It is as basic as it gets. There is one ingredient: magnesium oxide. It keeps your hands dry. The price can't be beat. The only issue I have with it is that it rubs off on holds pretty quickly, so you might have to re-chalk more frequently.

Still my favorite chalk. It’s course, drying and helps with friction on hot sweaty days.

There is better chalk out there
There is better chalk out there but for the price i like this chalk a lot. I have very sweaty hands and this chalk takes care of that.

This is a solid chalk for the volume and price. I’ve purchased the 15 oz bag two times now and I’m still happy with the quality and how well it works for my hands. I’ve tried more expensive brands and the difference isn’t noticeable enough for me to justify spending more for less. To each their own though.
only chalk i use
absolute best chalk for the price. doesn't last incredibly long in the gym for long routes but is fine for bouldering. Cheap enough though that it's not that big of a deal. comes really chunky so you can crush to desired consistency. it's chalk that's chalky. it works
Works well. Not sure if other brands are better.
I've used the BD White Gold and the Bison Designs Competition Chalk. I would say the Metolius Super Chalk is comparable to the BD White Gold. I think both are better than the Bison Designs Competition Chalk because it didn't really stick well.
