good for the price

This chalk sock is good for first timers. There isn’t gonna be that much of a noticeable difference in quality for chalk if you’re just starting, unless as soon as you start you’re Adam Ondra. It’s good for what it is and if you’re just about to hit REI to go climbing for the first time then just go with this instead of the 20$ frictionlabs options. If you like climbing then I would suggest once you run out of this you buy frictionlabs.

It's a chalk sock, you either love it or hate it

I like using a chalk sock to save chalk and to prevent chalk spills. Using a chalk sock means that I can throw my chalk bag around and not worry about making a mess. Also, I tend to use the chalk sock like a stress ball while I am resting and looking at a problem. The drawstring on the chalk sock is a little bit finicky. It being closed for so long and getting filled up with chalk makes it kind of annoying to undo to refill the bag. It's a minor inconvenience, but I still use it all the time

Not very effective

This is the worst chalk sock I've ever used. The chalk itself is very rough. It's hard to get enough chalk on your hands with this. Just cut the foot off of a cheap stocking and tie a knot.

OK-ish refillable chalk bag

Not a great delivery method for the chalk. Perhaps the cloth is too thick.

I don't love it but it works (mostly)

I try to prevent myself from raining chalk on my belayer and being a menace with how much chalk I'm using. The cinch is easy to open and fill back up. I do have issues with the cinch opening again after a couple of sessions climbing which kinda defeats the point of a chalk sock but its all good. Its the best I've found. I like the chalk it comes with but its not the greatest.

Good chalk

This chalk bag prevents chalk from flying all over the gym compared to loose chalk. The two gyms I go to both prefer and recommend the use of this kind of chalk. I'm still fairly new at climbing and blister up pretty easily. I find loose chalk helps prevent blisters a little better for me but this still does the job well enough.

Great for climbers of all ages

Nice simple chalk sock. It comes pretty full so I emptied it out a little for mine and my daughters chalk bags. Takes up a significant amount of space but pretty quickly can apply chalk on the climb. So far pretty good and not nearly as much chalk spillage (from the kid).

Very average

The sock does not release very much chalk at all, not enough to climb with. And the chalk inside was really not the best. I am somewhat of a new climber(2 years)and this is the worst chalk I have ever used. Hoping it gets better over time somehow.
