KUHL  Ascendyr Long Fleece Jacket - Women's

It’s really cute and comfortable; reminds me a lot of the Patagonia style but longer which is why I bought it. Based on the other reviews I was expecting it to run small but it’s actually pretty roomy on me. I’m 5’5 175lbs and wearing a size 12. I expected the large to just fit but the arms are rather long and loose and the general overall fit is - loose. I’m only 4 months postpartum so knowing what I know now, I probably would have ordered my normal medium but it’s not so insanely large that I think I need go return it.

I love the fit and length of this jacket. I'm tall and the sleeves are perfect. A slight drawback is that the pocket is not sewn down on the inside of the jacket along the top edge and it's a bit unsightly when the jacket is worn open. Because I sew, I will remedy this by stitching it down.

The fit is great for me, 5’-10” and 160# with long slender arms. Its a flattering cut and toasty, and the ganache color is beautiful. I was looking forward to having it as a day sweater as well as outdoor hiking layer, and thought it would work better than the regular length. But what’s with the two-way zipper that won’t zip? I’m returning it and hope this was a one-off defective zipper.

This is a gorgeous sweater, but I believe they've changed the design since I bought it last. I bought a size S a few years ago and this year decided I could use a size M--the S still fits, but you know how life gets! Anyway, I had to return the M because I much prefer the original design from 2022. The waist on this one is weirdly tucked in, which I found far less flattering that the softer waist definition on the original. I had to return it as a result. Still, the sweater is incredibly soft and comfortable, so warm, and just so functional. Five stars for the 2022 design, which I will continue to wear as often as I can, and 4 stars for this one!

The front of the jacket is pilling after barely a year with very little wear due to it being paper thin. Not warm but originally very good looking, just not wearing well.

Great styling with zip pockets and double zipper. Sleeve length is a little long but manageable. Love the overall length.

The jacket is a cozy concept! The zipper is an issue, even when you take your time. Hopefully Kuhl can remedy the zipper on next year’s model. The rather interesting thing is, why my jacket smells horribly of perfume?! Ugh, smells like someone’s grandmother. Was this garment used and returned or is the standard?

I bought this jacket thinking it would be of the same thickness and quality as my Kuhl Highland Long Fleece. it is not as thick and the zipper does not work at all. It is a very expensive jacket that does not zip up and is of lower quality! I already washed it or I would return it. I won't buy Kuhl online again after this.

I weigh about 155 pounds, am 5'8" tall and have somewhat muscular arms / lats from the workouts that I do and a Medium fits me perfectly. It is super soft (especially after washing it) and it keeps me warm and I love the length of it. Sometimes I will layer this underneath a light down jacket to add some warmth on super windy days here in the Bay Area and it does the trick. I originally got this fleece and the zipper didn't work unfortunately so I returned it. I ended up getting another one and now I don't have any trouble with the zipper thankfully so perhaps it is just a hit and miss problem. Overall, this was a great purchase and I would recommend it to others.

I have the regular and long version of this jacket and for the double zipper (long) you just have to aling it and it will zip close. Same to unzip just pull down. I figured it out in no time, I’m not going to return a beautiful jacket over a silly thing imo but everyone expects perfection and that’s ok. Other, the jacket is too heavy for backpacking but day hikes and casual use is my go too. It keeps you toasty but not overheated. It’s comfy and I love that it’s long and not super tight. I use it so much that it was worth the money.
