I’ve run in the Kinvara line for several years starting with the 8 and now into the 11. It is the same middle of the road cushioned enough for a daily trainer but still has the responsiveness and pep for a tempo or speed run. This aspect of the kinvara is what has kept me loyal to the line. My only gripe with the 11 comes with the heel liner tearing after only 10 miles or so. I haven’t had any blistering as of yet but it is nevertheless a concern. With a brand new shoe it certainly isn’t expected for deterioration to occur so quickly.
I initially bought 2 pairs of Saucony Endorphin speeds and wanted to added another shoe into my rotation. I read great reviews on the Kinvara 11s and liked that they had a different drop than my speeds. I’ve put about 30 miles on them and absolutely love them! Great addition to my Saucony family of running shoes!!
Love the fit and feel of this shoe. I havr about 40 miles logged in the last few weeks that i've had them and the mesh on the inside heel of the shoe tore and is now giving me blisters. Disappointing for my first pair of Saucony shoes that only get used road running.
Puffy shoe and fit tight. I did a 2 miler and 5 miler in them. Light weight and spongy feel when running. Laces don’t stay tied well. Not the best shoe in my opinion. Bottom grip is not great. I doubt I buy another pair of Saucomy shoes.
I have run in the Kinvara 7, 9, 10 and now the 11. The 10s were excellent. They fit perfectly in an 11.5. I had three pairs of them with 400-450 miles on each pair. Now to the 11s. They are significantly more narrow in the toe box. To the point my 4th toe is being driven into my middle toe. I do not have a wide foot by any means. In two days of running I have put 15 miles on these shoes and all I thought about was how my toes were being crushed. I am definitely not impressed. Why change a shoe when you had something great? These will be getting sent back. I run 60+ mile weeks and I feel my toes will be destroyed if I tried that in these.
I have run in the Kinvaras for many years. Just bought the Kinvara 11's to replace the 10's. First two runs no problem, then my third run, the backs of the shoes have rubbed huge blisters on my heels. Looking at the shoe, there is a seam and a hard horizontal piece that is rubbing on my heels. I have compared to the previous Kinvaras and they seem to have a one piece heel with nothing hard in it. I do wear insoles, like I have in the past shoes, so my foot does sit higher then normal. Should I have adjusted the size up? I am frustrated and disappointed in the shoes, as I am training for a marathon and can't afford to miss days because of blisters.
This 11th version of the Kinvara feels like the lightweight do it all running shoe of some of it's older siblings. The fit it true to length and width, with no irritations. The collar fit is much less padded and more comfy than the 10th, and forefoot is a little more breathable. IMO the underfoot of the 11 feels a bit firmer and more lively than the 10 - closer to the 9. If I could ask for anything for the 12 I would say a little more natural flexibility from the midsole, and honestly just a tad firmer. Finally, if Saucony would free up the toes through a last adjustment just ever so slightly I would never buy another shoe... Nice work Saucony team
I’ve owned several pairs of Kinvaras (previous generations). I say several because I blow through a pair about every 6 months depending on how much I run. The upper holds up, its the sole that doesn’t last. If you have wide feet - you love this line of shoe! So far, (5-6 runs) this new version seems a lot more durable without sacrificing weight or breathability. I docked the “style” of these because they’ve never been the most visually stunning shoe. I’ve tried to get them in solid black or solid white. The solid white version looks really great and not too garish like some of the other bright colors. We’ll see how they last but so far am impressed.
I have 5 pair of Kinvara 10's I just had my wife order me a pair of Blue and white KN 11's. I have a pair for different outfits. I am a sprint runner to build muscles explosive kicking power. and as well power when I changing angle and springing up and throwing my weight I need explosive power. These are the sneakers. I have to wear different colors to match my uniform. . Please more colors. The laces should be black on the Blue 11's, As you did with the Kinvara blue 9's used glowing yellow laces. Please give flavor. You will sell more. Think You are selling the colors that you are stuck with as the kinvara 10's You only have yellow, and orange left.
I have run exclusively in the Ride series since taking up the sport in 2016. I've got a pair of Ride 9s, Ride 10s, and Ride ISO 2s in my lineup, along with Mad River TRs for trail. The Kinvara was something I debated for a long time, not sure how I'd fare with the change in drop from 8mm to 4mm, but the Mad Rivers alleviated that concern (they're also amazing shoes by the way). I use the Kinvara for my 2 speedwork sessions per week, which is typically a run with shorter intervals and then a longer sustained effort like a tempo run. I am currently training for an aggressive HM goal, and these will definitely be my race day (time trial) shoe. Shoe is suitable for road, groomed path, track, or treadmill. They are snug, but not too tight, though I admit I was slightly concerned when I first put them on. But, once you get moving along you realize the fit is exactly what you want when running fast, and it is definitely not too tight, or uncomfortable in any way. The exposed midsole will pick up small bits of dirt or tiny pebbles, but no more than any other shoe, and nothing large enough to be noticeable while running. The ride is springy yet firm (in a good way) and you feel in control of the effort while getting decent energy return. Without outsole rubber, durability would normally be a concern for me, but I've got plenty of friends who get 400-500 miles on their Kinvaras, so I'm not really worried about it. If there was any possible drawback for me, it would be that the laces seemed a bit short, but that's easily remedied by swapping laces if you really need a good-sized bow. The laces have not come undone during any of my runs though, so it isn't really an issue at all. Fit: 9.5/10 (snug but efficient) Comfort: 9/10 (surprisingly easy on the feet even with a lower-end stack height; would probably cap usage at half marathon distance) Price: 9.5/10 (very quality shoe for the purchase price; no outsole rubber may affect durability but it is the correct construction for the purpose of this shoe. Style: 10/10 (there is a colourway for everyone which is great; the yellow pair I got is exciting, and the more muted black or grey options are very nice-looking as well)
