Great way to ride with your child.

I got this so that my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter could go on bike rides, especially mountain bike rides, with me. At first we were both a little scared and anxious. It didn't take me long at all to get over that. With every ride my granddaughter gets more confident and is now wanting me to go faster each ride. It fairly easy to mount and remote the Shotgun, which allows me to move it between bikes as needed.

It moves!

I don’t understand all the 5 star reviews with nothing negative. I tried this seat in 5 different positions with my bikes, it moves back every time. You start with the seat all the way forward and in 30 seconds your child is hitting your crotch. I tried with two different bikes, carbon and alloy, and it’s the same. I don’t recommend this one, I will be trying the one with the bar instead.

Reminds me of high school!

This thing is awesome! My girls scream “SHOTGUN!!!!” whenever I tell them it’s time for a bike ride. It takes me back to high school and every time we piled into someone’s ride. It’s perfect for the 2yo. She’s strong enough to hang on and I feel secure enough with her position to be able to wrap her up in a bad situation. It’s a little tight with the 5yo. It’s doable, but tight. Slapping another 50lbs on the bike also makes me seriously question my fitness level. If you’ve got a kiddo that has some spirit and might be tired of looking at your plumber’s crack from the rear rider, this is the ticket. Quality design and parts. Easy install and removal.

Wow! This is awesome!

I was very impressed with the packaging and everything this kit came with. They literally give you every piece of tool you need to assemble. Assembly was straightforward and my son loved it. He’s 3 and about 30 pounds. This set up is perfect for him. My legs do go a little wider than normal but it’s not a big deal and totally worth it to get to bike with my little guy. I highly recommend!

So Much Fun!

My family loves to go Mountain biking together, and this seat is by far the best option for the whole family to have fun! My 3-year-old loves the Shotgun seat! I started with a front carrier on trails, then moved to a backpack when she was big enough for that. Not she gets to sit upfront and be part of the action. She is pretty small, and the straps for the feet are a little big (she weighs 26 pounds at 3 years old), but she loves it, so we keep it pretty mellow. Having the kids up front where they can see the trail and be part of the fun is so much fun for me as well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with kids!

Perfect for riding with toddlers

I take my 2 year old on at least 1 bike ride every day with the Shotgun seat and handlebars. He really enjoys it. The only thing that is a little scary is when he decides to pull his feet out of the stirrups and stick his toes in the front tire tread. I always make sure he rides with closed toe Keens so he doesn't get caught too bad. We ride on paved bike paths, streets, and some single track trails. It does impact the weight distribution on the bike having a second rider close the the front, so that took a little time to get used to.

It... Has... BEGUN!!!

I couldn't pull my bike out without the child demanding a ride around the neighborhood. Carrying him with one hand? Less than ideal, right? So I snagged this seat and threw it on the bike. Setup was pretty simple. Getting the wee one to sit on it? A little more of a challenge. Once I held him and rode around he got the idea, and dividends were paid off in smiles. He loved it! It's built well, and oodles of protection for the frame! I have my frame wrapped, and if I didn't I'd be completely comfortable putting this on. Well built, well done, can't recommend it enough!

Must have for every cyclist parent!

This has been an excellent add on for my growing family. My 6yr old is full blown mountain biking, my 3yr is learning. But for those days when we want to go for a ride and cover some ground or go at a faster pace, I can load my 3yr old up on my bike and hit the trails. Installation is fairly straightforward, I was initially concerned about the frame being rubbed by the contact points so I added some additional frame wrap protection (because, you know, it's an S-works). My 3yr old loves it, and even though he's not riding I feel like it could actually help him learn to read the trail (just a theory haha)...also as an added bonus, I'm lugging around an extra 40lbs, so it helps make the ride more beneficial from a training standpoint. I would suggest this to anyone who pulls double duty as a dad or mom and wants to still be enjoying your time on 2 wheels with your little ones. It's better than the trailers, or the handlebar mounted seats. I've tried everything else that I've saw, this takes the cAke!

Shut up and take my money

Stuck my toddler into the seat expecting her to noodle. Nope. Hit the trails. Other than one good handlebar to the face when she was looking at her feet the initial rides were great and this has changed my life. I am on the short side and ride with a higher saddle, so I did have to bring that down affecting my own comfort slightly, but no regrets and better thigh workout.

Not Compatible with Top Tube Cables

If you have a mtn bike with cables that run along your top tube, don't purchase this item. I wish that had been in the item description before I had it shipped out here, just to have to pay to ship it right back again. Otherwise, my 2 year old has used this on a friend's bike, and she loved it.

Fantastic product!

Comes complete with tools necessary for installation, and easy to follow assembly instructions. The unit is well made and carefully designed. I felt my daughter was safe and secure throughout the entire ride. My three year old was comfortable for miles. Looking forward to using the seat on a wider variety of trails. The smiling and cheering of my little girls excitement was well worth it!
