Love these! Great value!
These are awesome sunglasses. They provide a bit of a darker tint than most sunglasses which I love. I have a lot of light sensitivity issues and these are great and really enhance what you’re seeing because of the polarization. My regular glasses are a “petite” frame because I have a smaller face and had been wearing a pair that I had gotten as a teenager before that which wear apparently kids glasses and these don’t look massive on my face.
Super cute but did not last
So I love love loved these sunglasses when I first got them, but they definitely did not stand the test of time. They’re super cute, but the lenses scratch and the tint fades just by looking at them and then it’s hard to even see through them. I am pretty careful with my sunglasses, always stick them in a case. These unfortunately didn’t last. Then I went swimming with them and well, they’re unwearable now.
Who puts a logo on the lens?!?
Great quality and shape. However, they placed their logo in the upper right hand corner of the lens itself. So it always feels like a fly is dive bombing your face. If you don’t have good peripheral vision, you might not notice, but if you do have good peripheral vision you can’t help but notice it all the time. Super annoying.
Low quality mirroring on lenses
I got these in the pink ink colorway. I loved them until recently, but the mirroring on the lenses is damaged and starting to rub off after less than a year. It's rubbing off in spots from the outside moving in, plus a few spots in the middle of the lens. It's noticeable while wearing but hard to capture in pictures. I'm within a year so I'm hoping REI will accept the return.
Great company, but flawed product or flawed batch
I love the look of these glasses but after 3 weeks of gentle wear, the right arm broke. I emailed the company to see if they could send a replacement arm, but they instead offered to send me a replacement pair at no cost. They were lovely and helpful. The replacement frame cracked above the lens as I put them on the second morning. At each of the breaking points you can see a defect in the plastic, so I suspect this was just a bad batch. A great design and price and I would consider buying a different design again in the future, and hoping for a better outcome!
My favorite pair of glasses
I bought these glasses thinking there was no way they'd be able to stay still on my face while I run/bike/etc. I've worn them on many runs and mountain bike trails and can say I am VERY impressed by how stable they are. Honestly, I never even think about them on my face while I'm active which is exactly what I was looking for. The polarization is awesome as well and the real deal. Especially for such affordable glasses, I am highly impressed. I also really love that they're such a flattering shape. Just wish they came in several other colors, and I'd buy backup pairs.
great affordable sun glasses
I was looking for a pair of sunglasses with good sun protection and polarized lenses that I could use to go on the boat go cycling or anything else and I’m not hurt if they get lost or broken. My eyes are very light sensitive so a dark lens with good UV protection is important for me. I sure did lose them in the lake shortly after buying my first pair and immediately repurchased the same glasses again I’m rough on them and they did great holding up just recently. I dropped them and cracked the frame and was gonna buy the third pair, but unfortunately, they were not being sold anymore, great pair of glasses!
Very cheap quality. Broke within 2 months
I usually buy discounted sunglasses. I thought I’d upgrade and pay $30 for a pair of sunglasses. Mistake. These frames are very lightweight and also very flimsy. The frame cracked within two months of owning them. Very disappointed in the quality of these frames.
Great glasses
Good glasses! I was previously wearing very similar glasses from Goodr for 2 years before I dropped them in the ocean (a leave no trace disaster!). These have a slightly dressier look I think but not quite the same no-slip grip as Goodr. However, I run in them and I have no problem. I also have a slightly small face and they don't wiggle around. I only took off one star because I can't yet determine how durable they are because I've only had them a month. So far no bad scratches! I also wish the lenses were darker. These are not quite dark enough for my sensitive eyes on a bright day or on the beach.
Everything I buy from rei is worthless.
Does not protect against sun. Cheap”fashion” item. Yellow tint is so strong you cant see a thing while wearing them anyway. When in direct sunlight, they do nothing. I threw them in a hiker box bc they do not function as advertised.
