Smartwool  Performance Hike Light Cushion Low Ankle Socks - Women's

These run VERY large! They are so big they're unwearable and getting returned. Check out the photo comparing them to my older Smartwool socks of the same style/size and you can see how much larger the new ones are. And that's after stretching out my old ones with years of wear. Shoe size W9 Narrow, and purchased my usual women's Medium. Size down!

I've also been wearing these pretty much non-stop for the past month! They're perfect with trail runners or sneakers, I can even wear them with my Blundstone boots and Muck Boots - I always wore crew height socks with my Blundstones, but these socks have enough cushion on the back to be comfortable even in different boots. They're definitely my new go-to socks. These are also the only no-show style socks I've worn that actually stay in place. I usually wear taller socks because I cannot stand when they slide down, but I don't have to worry about any Smartwool socks slipping on me, they stay in place really well. #SmartwoolLove

They’re incredibly comfortable, even on the hottest summer days. My feet stay cooler and drier, and they do an amazing job of preventing odor from developing—even after hours of walking. I LOVE these socks and have bought multiple colors over the years to wear hiking, running, snow sports, and casual wear use. The wool material keeps my feet from getting blisters after hiking, warm, breathable, comfortable and I wear them nearly all year around. For all types of low and high impact exercise, these are my go-to socks, and remain durable after several years of regular use. Highly recommend (and makes an excellent gift!)

Fantastic sock, not my first purchase of smart wool socks, but first time I’ve bought directly from the site. Definitely worth the money, I’ve had a few pairs for 8+ years and they remain favorites! Love the color options also. I hike occasionally, but use these for work days even, I’m an RN in a hospital setting and these help keep my feet comfy and dry!

Comfy and I can't feel the pebbles that sometimes get kicked into my shoe. But I can't say they warrant the price. Nothing really spectacular to write home about.

Returned. A size larger than my 6.5 feet and just preference but a bit too puffy. Seemingly nice quality. Re: packaging, I understand elastic bands from a marketing perspective but socks stay on cardboard hook already, so ultimately just more landfill items.

I'm 70+ and have had multiple foot surgeries- socks are my bottom line to wearing regular shoes beyond a 'boot' or surgical shoe. I have tried every brand and material. My goal is to…that the sock maintains its size and thickness… as well has not causing my feet to sweat and swell. My youth provided experience with wool living in Michigan- brrrr. My mother would have a fit when I tossed everything in the laundry basket and the wool items came out of the dryer in Barbie Doll size. Great time to be alive now that smart wool exists.

I've been wearing Smartwool socks for many years, so it's difficult to wow me with an even better design, but these socks have done it. They fit and are comfortable because they have ample cushion underneath without any added heat or ""bulk"" on the sides or tops of your feet. I also like that the ankle band is snug enough to keep debris out, keep your socks from migrating into your shoes, but also isn't so tight that it causes ankle swelling above the band. . . . A problem I've developed due to injury and aging.

I wear these socks all the time since discovering them years ago. They are the best in every way! I especially love the low profile without slippage. The thickness is great, yet they're never too hot. I wear them all year and I live in the South. They are not too heavy even in the summer with the heat and humidity. The weight is perfect! The design is unique and the colors are fantastic. These are my favorite socks and have been for years! Give them a try! You will be happy you did.
