Socks are great on the outside but the inside has poor stitching where the design is on the inside. Toes catch on loose ends when putting socks on.
These are one of my favorite styles of socks out of the variety I purchased from a few different brands for this winter. I have very cold but sweaty feet so I need a sock that allows them to breathe, but keeps them warm and dry. I like that these are snug but not tight so they don't slide around on my foot inside my boots. I like the length covers my ankle for cold weather, but doesn't feet tight on my legs. I wish there were more color options, I'd buy more! I recommended these to a friend already. I wear them for daily use like with leather boots at my office desk job or with snow boots for walking my dog or running errands.
These socks will eventually wear through - eventually. I just purchased a new pair to add to my rotations and replace a couple of old ones that I've had for about 8 years. I wear them in New England winters, to fill out boots and fit in hiking shoes and to lounge in. They're warm, but they breathe, and they come in enough ankle heights and patterns to be background/normal socks or to add a bit of fun. I love them. And I just made use of their sock recycling program, adding a bag to my order that I just dropped at FedEx full of clean but holey socks of all brands and materials. I feel better knowing they aren't in the trash and I really appreciate the opportunity to use this program.
I actually just wore these hiking the other day and we ended up having to go through a stream and everything got soaked. The socks held up and we’re incredibly comfy and not too hot on my feet.
I used to be the blister queen but thanks to Smartwool I have renounced my crown! Seriously, I used to get the worst blisters but then I found Smartwool's PhD line and now I don't get blisters at all. These socks feel amazing! They are soft and feel like they are made just for my feet. I like the light cushion because I have wide feet with a high instep so I usually don't have a lot of room to spare in my boots. I have worn these on a few day hikes and they were great. I also wore them in a pair of neoprene boots while kayaking and they were perfect! #SmartwoolLove
She likes these. Cushion is not too thick. They stay up well. They're the right thickness.
These socks are the perfect amount of cushion, softness, and durability. I love the height that comes above my ankle height hiking boots, but not going up my leg too far where some socks tend to feel too tight. They feel true to size.
These socks are supposed to be light yet they’re actually quite thick.
I am familiar with and already had a love for Smartwool socks. That being said the packaging on this pair was entirely new to me! I enjoy the new look and the breakdown for the height, cushion and size specs on the front are much easier to read and understand at a glance, as well as the further material and activity breakdown on the pack panel. Onto the socks! I believe this is my first pair of mid crew height socks and I am impressed at how comfortable and forgiving they are in regard to the height. I have wide calves and usually have to deal with a bit of tightness and pinch, that wasn't present to the usually degree with this pair however and I am pleasantly surprised! Also the padding level is perfect, cushioning for the soles of my feet but not throughout the whole sock as to make them too thick to wear with my regular shoes/boots #SmartwoolLove
Living in New England, you get all four seasons. I bought these for my wife who loves keeping her feet warm and comfortable. I buy a few pair every year at Xmas time knowing that they will be the most used present. Well made, good fit, attractive and comfortable, she loves showing me that she's wearing them!
