a warm second skin
like growing a layer of insulation! But too fitted for a fireplug shaped person such as myself, so I went bigger & now the sleeves are to my knuckles. If only they had thumb holes! the only design thing I would change is the white zipper fob which can not play well w some over shirt or jewelry.

disappointing
Ugh, what a bummer. I had one of these for a long time, maybe a decade. I still love it but it shows signs of wear and tear at the wrist and on the shoulders where backpack straps have worn it thin. This new shirt feels nothing like the old. It has a 'plastic' feel and a scratch to it. And sure enough, upon examination, this new shirt only has 85% merino wool (plus nylon) while the old one was 100% absolutely non-itchy (I am super sensitive) merino wool. This is going back and I will have to look for a better product. Seems like Smartwool has drunk the cool-aid. I am 5'8", 130 lbs and size S fits fitted.

I have bought this product again and again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years I have had several generations of this design in many different colors. They are a staple in my wardrobe and have been for 15 years . I layer them as needed. My older ones all wore through on the elbows, so I keep them as my base layers and wear my new ones over them. I like the fitted design and long sleeves. I am 5'8 and 140 and a Medium fits perfectly.

Favorite top - want more colors!

I love this top. Zipped up with a vest or jacket, it is incredibly warm and keeps the draft off my neck (perfect fit neck, tight and high enough unlike many brands). But once I start exercising and get warm, the top is lightweight enough to not be suffocating and the neck unzipped cools me down quickly. Please make more colors, especially off-white!!

Great weight layering top.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use to layer with other tops while walking out in cooler weather as well as inside so I don't need to turn on the heater. While this is a nice and thin top that does provide warmth, I prefer the two other Smartwool tops from years back. The texture was more cozy and didn't itch quite as much. This newer top is a bit itchy on my skin.

Super Comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got the gray in small, nice fit but a bit see-through in the chest. My body is 5'5" and 127lbs but bra size is 32D. I suppose for smaller bra sizes it might not be as see-through. Overall I love how comfortable it is against my skin, and this base layer is perfect for 2c mornings and 17c days in SoCal. #Sweepstakes

I plan to buy this again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great base layer for hiking & everyday wear. It's high quality andvlaynders beautifully. I am 5'3" & 112 pounds & wear a size 4 in clothing. In other Smartwool products I wear a small. This base layer fits very close to the body. Next time I will size up to a medium for a more comfortable fit.

Sleek, warm, flattering

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This layer fits perfectly. I'm 5'4", 135 pounds, with a long torso and arms and an athletic build and ample chest. It's snug without being tight. It's soft, warm, breathable. I live in a mild climate, and it's perfect worn alone or atop another base layer.
