Ridiculously light, very well made
Silca makes excellent products. This titanium bottle cage is a great example. 29 grams. Handmade in the USA. Very well built. Ridiculously light. I wish REI sold the titanium gage bolts. I'll have to get them somewhere else.
Likely great for road, but not good for mtb
This cage tossed my water bottle when terrain got rough. It's way too flexy. But, it's probably great on the road. For mtb I'd suggest a Ti King Cage (or ss), which is way stiffer than this cage and stiffer and stronger than Wolf Tooth's Ti Morse Cage.
Good Cage
A good sturdy cage that is very light. I got two to install on my titanium bike. They are a bit pricey but they install easily and do their job quietly. I have had plenty of cheaper water bottle cages that weren’t up to the task and it’s incredible how annoying a simple item like this can be when it doesn’t work well. These have silenced those issues.
Defective, Unfinished Weld
One of the four welds was defective, unfinished, rough. This, on a $70 bottle cage, is simply unacceptable. Not at all impressed by Silca quality.
great and light
Have about a hundred miles of single track with these so far. All the welds look great.
Perfect for Ti bikes
Lightweight, elegant looking cages. Matches my Ti road bike perfectly.
