Good for hammocks, not great for ground use.

This pad worked great in a hammock, and is lighter than a lot of underquilts. When using the pad without an underquilt, it will keep you warm down to about 40F. Using the pad on the ground in a tent though, it is not very comfortable. The shape of the pad makes it great for hammocks, but is very hard to use on the ground. Skip this piece for ground camping, keep it in the hammock.

Didn't even last a season

I bought this as an upgrade to my hammok sleep kit. It worked really well in the beginning and fits well in the hammok. The absolute downside is that it hasnt even lasted one camping season. After only about 6 camp trips with it, it no longer holds air all night. I inflated it and soaped it down but couldnt find any obvious holes or leaks....it just deflates after about 4 hours of sleeping on it.

Love my Pongo

Absolutely love my regular Pongo. Just got the insulated and it is equally as impressive with the added value of warmth! Several trips with temps into low 30's high 20's and I with help from my original firebelly stayed very warm. I love the width of the pad at shoulders and arms. I am 6',-185 and have been very comfortable on both these pads. When I first got my Pongo I kept it inflated for a week. No air loss. A little heavier than some ultralights but much more durable and a better feel. Grippy bottom works nicely. Only time will tell but I am in love with both Pongo pads. Oh... forgot, pump sack works great for me about 8 times fully inflates.

Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this in my Ridge runner for a week in the Smokey Mnts. It solved the issue of shoulder squeeze and ankle knocking I had with other pads.

The Kammok Oversized Pogo Pad is like a trampoline for your backside. It's perfect for when you want to elevate your camping experience (literally) and give your rear end a break from the hard ground. It's so big, you'll feel like you're bouncing on a cloud. The durable materials ensure that it can withstand all the rough and tumble of outdoor adventures. Plus, it's lightweight, so you can take it with you wherever you go. Whether you're lounging around the campfire, enjoying a sunset, or just need a break from sitting on a log, the Kammok Oversized Pogo Pad is the way to go. In short, it's the perfect addition to your camping gear, and your behind will thank you.

Comfortable and practical

This pad is really comfortable! I tried it in my Roo single hammock, but couldn't fit it in diagonally, so scrapped that idea and tested it another night on the floor. One side of the pad is fuzzy, effectively preventing it from slipping, the other side is smooth. Where other pads make a lot of noise when in use, this pad is relatively quiet. The pad is very easy to inflate, deflate and store in its stuff sack. The bag supplied has a bit of extra space when the pad is in it, so there's room in there for one or two other items you might want on a cold night, like some thick wool socks.

Thanks for reviewing the Insulated Pongo Pad! We're happy to hear it brought you comfort sleeping on the ground. The sleeping pad is better suited to fit the Roo Double hammock or larger. We love the pro tip about packing wool socks in the stuff sack!

Very comfortable but a little heavy

Sleep is something I'm not willing to skimp on. As a side sleeper with curvy hips, I needed something thick and comfortable. This does the trick. I wake up as refreshed as I do from my own bed. I only complaint is that it's a little heavy. For backpacking, I ended up putting this aside in favor of a 14 oz exped winter pad that is also thick, but more narrow. That said if car camping before a hike, this pad is coming with me. It's got a really durable feel and the shape and thickness is extremely comfortable.

not so warm

I used this with a hammock in the BWCA. I like the extra width to cover my elbows. Night temps were 35-45. Under 40 or so the coolness was penetrating to me. Fortunately I had brought my old old green Z-Rest to compare, and with it I slept wonderfully. Kammok's R rating shows it should be warmer than my old Z-Rest, but it was not.

Great Pad BUT Very Noisy!

This fit perfectly in my Tentsile Flite tree tent that I used in the BWCA as a 1 person tent.. Great shape & warm BUT very noisy! My fellow campers (each in their own tent) all complained.. Hence 4/5 Stars

Not that good

Quality of product is lacking. I used this product for a span of 4 months or less, before the glue used within the pad that keeps the upper and lower part of the pad together, came undone. The pad now is leaking air and bulging at the site where the defect is. I tried calling kammok and left a message but no one reached out. I had to resort to buying another pad for work. When it did work it was a great combination with the mantis hammok. It did not move around and it insulated well.
