Sizing Notes
CHEST: Measure at the widest point. If the person is muscular, take a second measurement at the armpit area, across the upper chest. Use the larger of the two measurements.
HIP: Place the tape around the hips and across the widest point of the buttocks. Make sure that all pockets are empty.
INSEAM: This is also referred to as the “crotch to ankle bone” measurement. Have the person stand with legs straight and feet about 12” apart. Measure from the crotch area, snug up against the body, down to the ankle bone.
SLEEVE LENGTH: Hold arm directly out to the side, parallel to the floor, palm down. Bend the elbow forward, stop hand in front of nose. Place the tape at the base of the neck, starting at the spine. Run tape along the arm, turn at the elbow, measuring to the wrist bone.
WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist.

This is the best dry suit I have owned!
This is the third drysuit I have owned since 2003 and all were from Kokatat. My prior suit was a Kokatat Expedition (2012), which is now my backup. The Kokatat Odyssey GORE-TEX Pro Dry Suit is slightly large on me compared to the old Expedition. That is likely due to my weight of 145 pounds. Kokatat may also be offering a more generous fit due to the increased average waistline of the U.S. population. The Gore-tex Pro fabric is a great improvement over the fabric in my older drysuit. It appears to offer increased durability, but only time will tell. I love the removable hood, exterior zippered pockets, the Kokatat warranty and other small details. The removable interior suspender straps are helpful when putting on the suit, but I find the hard plastic hook at the bottom of the rear suspender strap is always pushed against a rather sensitive part of my spinal column once I'm wearing my pfd and spray deck. That hook cannot be adjusted or moved out-of-the-way unless one completely removes the suspenders by undoing all three plastic hooks. I gave this suit a real try out on a recent 5-day kayaking trip along Maine Schoodic Peninsula. Two thumbs up!
Best Kayak Drysuit
This Gore-Tex Pro Odyssey dry suit, which I picked out of numerous dry suits, was the best suit that protected me in the cold and harsh environment. The solid, reliable materials and build quality made me comfortable on the water.
