Solid everyday bag

I've worn a fanny pack daily for the past few years. I wanted an upgrade that would fit my Kindle Paperwhite. The Coso is big for a daily pack, but not quite too big. If I wear it in front, it bumps my legs as I walk (especially going up stairs), so I wear it as a sling. I can carry my phone (Pixel 4a in an Otterbox Commuter case) in the hanging felt pocket. My Kindle fits, along with my card wallet, coin purse, keys, earbuds, and a tiny notebook. The bag even fits my 1L Camelbak Eddy if there's nothing else in it. The back zipper pocket is perfect for my passport and things I don't need easy access to. (It also fits the Kindle, but it's tighter.) The front zipper pocket holds a little hand sanitizer and lip balm, and the open pouch is perfect for my mask. After 3 months of daily wear, the finish is peeling on the creases.

roomy, well-made...but will destroy your clothing

I found this bag to be well-made and very roomy. I also like that it isn't too "sporty". The problem is it snags/pills clothing where the loop stitching is located. It ruined several items of clothing before I realized the cause. ☹️ I will not be using it ever again...

DO NOT BUY - Does snag/ruin shirts!!

Bought this bag to use for European travel as a crossbody/sling. On initial use, loved the bag for its size, wide strap, back pocket for passports, sunglasses pocket, fun colors, and I liked the unzippered ‘pocket’ for stashing my phone (nothing ever fell out of this pocket, it’s more secure than it looks). I would have given the bag 5 stars. BUT, just like other reviews report, the rough stitching on the strap does snag fabric, causing pilling. This happened on two different athletic shirts and a cotton slub dress. So disappointed as this bag is otherwise engineered very well. And the price point is too high to have it have such a major flaw. So bummed.

Exactly what I needed!

So I have bought so many Fanny packs and none of them fit what I needed. I wear glasses and I always need a place to keep my glasses or sunglasses (depending on if I’m inside or outside) this pack has a built in pocket for my glasses that is fleece lined. Also, the other thing I needed in a Fanny pack was a place to keep my iPhone 14 pro max that I could grab and not have to put in a zippered pocket, this on has the perfect spot in the middle of the bag to keep my phone.

Better than expected!

I’m not much of a fanny pack wearer but my brother swears by them. He bought me a larger travel bag from this site and I wanted to buy myself a smaller one that semi matched. I didn’t want to go with the 4 L one because it just seemed too big for what I need, so I settled on this one and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! I use this bag a lot more than I thought I would. It has the right number of pockets, enough space, and is super comfortable to wear. The long, adjustable straps make it easy to wear over a coat in the winter, too. I have only good things to say about this product and this brand in general. If you’re thinking about buying this bag, definitely do! If not this one, then something else from the site. You won’t regret it!

Great for travel or everyday use

A fantastic travel companion! I bought this for a trip where I was walking quite a bit but didn’t need a full pack. Now I carry it everywhere. It’s perfectly sized for a day bag.

Love the pack, but has destroyed several shirts

As a pack, I love this hip pack! The lemongrass color combo is wonderful. It is very functional and a great size. My only complaint is that the stitching on the backside of the straps is very pronounced and quite rough -- so much so that it has ruined the fabric of several tops. I will be looking for some sort of iron on patch to cover it so that I can use this pack everyday without compromising the integrity of my clothes.

I love my Cotopaxi gear!

I love my hip pack! I love all my Cotopaxi products! I have a really fun colorful Cotopaxi backpack I use daily, another darker one for when I want to look a bit more professional, a flat bag that works well for my sheet music and/or a notebook and now this hip pack that’s perfect for taking just the necessities!! I had no idea you had a Cotopaxi “store" until the other day… which is when I picked up the hip pack. Thanks for sturdy functional products that bring these wonderfully fun and much appreciated bursts of color! Terry PS I use this for multiple of your choices and chose it for all the reasons/options you stated. Not just one!!!

Love at first sight but snagged my shirt!!

I bought the Cotopaxi Coso 2 L Hip pack for a trip to Europe and I wanted to wear it more as a sling bag/crossbody. I compared it to a similar Osprey bag and 2 Gregory bags. I kept the Cotopaxi for its fun colors, great use of space and storage and the wide belt/strap. Oh, and I love the sunglasses pouch! The back zip pocket is great for passports, the little zip pocket near the front for chapstick and inside the large zip pocket, I could get sunglasses, a small water bottle, snacks, pill container, hand sanitizer… I used the front sling pocket that doesn’t have a zipper for my phone, was great easy access and the phone didn’t fall out. Was thinking of giving the bag 5 stars and eventually ordering in another colorway BUT… today I looked down and say that just like other reviewers mentioned, the rough stitching on the inner side of the belt/strap was rubbing on my cotton skin dress and creating little balls of fabric. Thankfully I noticed before it ruined the whole thing. I didn’t notice this problem yesterday when I was wearing an athletic shirt. Now I’m one day into a 14 day trip and don’t want to use this bag as it may destroy my clothing. For the bag being at the price point it is, this problem should not exist… the rest of the bag is engineered so well, how could they not have realized this problem? Unfortunately this problem makes me want to return the bag and I would not recommend.

Great for Passports, Phones, Wallet, and more!

This is the perfect size for carrying a little more than would generally go in your pockets. Fits phone, wallet, keys, passports, and then you have room to pack a small water bottle or few other small things in there. I got it for a cruise so I could carry all my stuff (passports, etc) in one place, slung over my shoulder. Worked perfectly. Most the time I carry it over my shoulder, but it works great around the waist too. Haven't had it out in heavy rain yet, but I think the outer part is water resistant, but the inner part seems to soak up the water a bit in the little rain I've experienced. But overall, super comfy and really happy with the purchase!

Cool but Sadly Slippery

Love the colors, the size, the many pockets. My big mobile phone, chapstick, santizer, mini notepad and pens and glasses all fit in the main pocket. Sunglasses on the outer pocket, which surprisingly holds stuff without a zipper or latch. The wide webbing strap is also very comfortable to wear cross shouldered. My one gripe, the webbing slides on its own through the buckle slots and there is nothing to hold it in place. The end of the webbing is sewn but because it's installed reverse, it can not hook onto the belt loop. Not even sure that would help. I manually sewed the belt end in place on one end. But still have to deal with the slipperiness of the other end.
