I love this frame bag. It has separate compartments in it so the weight gets distributed and things are easier to pack and find.

Awesome frame bag! Great fit and experience.

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I enjoy doing long back country trails on my mountain bike and occasionally stay out a night or 2. I was excited to get this bag because i hadnt found a bag that worked well for me and my bike and this really hit it out of the park. Great construction, plenty of attachment points (i didnt realize on first install that you can move where the velcro loops are) and overall it just worked great. I even took this out on my last overnight and attached are a couple of shots from right before i left. Unfortunately it was a little muddy and its hard to get action shots on the bike so i didnt attach shots from the trip but it performed great. It was able to fit my tarp tent and a couple of meals in it along with snacks in the side pocket. I really liked that side pocket for snacks because as long as it was flat or i hit some forest road, i could get into it and munch down without stopping. So far this is one of my favorite (probably my actual favorite) REI brandsd product and im probably going to get one for my gravel bike as well.

Well made, useful frame bag.

I received the Link frame bag for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I’ve had it on my bike for a couple of weeks now and it is really nice. It comes with a larger pouch you can carry a Nalgene in and also comes with a small pouch to put smaller items into for organization. The bag is well made with a water resistant fabric as well as a flap to cover the zipper to the main compartment. Two YKK zippers give you access to both pockets. The smaller pocket on the left is perfect for quick access items like a phone and keys. The larger pocket on the right has a lot more space. It’s great for carrying a light jacket, a small camp stove, your water bottle, etc. It has plenty of space and if you need to stuff a little more in there is a zipper that you can unzip to give you a little more space.. I like most everything about the bag but I do have a couple of minor inconveniences with it. The flap to keep the rain out could use a little hook and loop closure on it to keep it from sticking out too far. Occasionally, it would stick out enough to hit my right leg when I’m peddling. The other nit is that I think the zipper on the big compartment should zip open from the front of the bike to the back. As it zips back to front, it means you have to unzip the whole compartment to get your water bottle out. Would be much better, imo, if the water bottle was easier to access. All in all, I can recommend this bag as it worked well for me. Offered me plenty of storage and seems to be well made.

A solid bikepacking bag

I liked several features in this frame bag. The only fixed attachment point is the large top tube strap--all of the other points are moveable on loops or removable/replaceable. I think that gives the bag more flexibility and longevity. I found the zippers easy to open and close, and loved the accessible side pocket for small items. The fabric is nice, and didn't feel irritating if my leg did rub against it. I wish it came in more colors! The fit was difficult to assess. I measured my bike and chose the medium bag based on those measurements (I ride a M bike). The bag is almost a perfect fit, but just slightly too large. I think this makes it easier to overpack. I carried a large hydration bladder, snacks, and tools in the pack. Everything did fit without hitting my crank arms, but I would often have to readjust after removing and replacing items. My biggest complaint is the flap over the large compartment zipper. The flap is a good idea, since it helps with waterproofing without having to fiddle with waterproof-style zippers (and it might be less of an issue if the fit were perfect) but I found it annoying. My plan is to install my own velcro strips between the body and the flap to keep them in place more effectively.

A happy surprise

I have used this bag five times now. I have to say I am surprised at how much I like it. It is very secure and easy to take on and off. It did replace my water bottle cage, but my nalge e is easy to access inside the bag. I wish I had gotten better pictures of it, but the snow hit hard the other day and false spring is over! I do recommend this bag for the average person

Simple and Perfect

Thoughtful design makes this bag a joy to ride with. With a size M, I can fit my BA tent poles, cook kit and food. The included stuff sacks nest perfectly inside the bag, and the modular velcro attachment system made it easy to throw on my bike. My two favorite features are the gusseted zipper on the driveside which allows for ease access to the big compartment, and the small pocket on the non-drive side perfectly fits small/flat essentials like my long-handled spoon and phone.

Frame Bag Review

I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I ride mostly MTB and road, with a new interest in bikepacking. I used the size medium frame bag on my small Jamis road bike. It would not fit inside my Trek Marlin frame tubes. I do backpack and will use this bag in June on my first bikepacking trip. I will purchase a gravel bike soon that will probably fit the bag better. I was able to put various items inside the bag and I love the bags that it came with. I did not feel the bag impacted my pedaling.

Awesome bag

I got the Large after returning the medium for my Electra 3Lux cruiser, I can transfer bike to bike, fits great and can carry my chair, patch kit, tools, pump phone and more. The velcro is strong on that center top strap but I can't use it the way the frame is designed but I really don't need it and if I do I could use more velcro to extend it. They give a lot of straps and molle loops to position straps to fit your frame. The large fits my cruiser better than the small, I thought I was buying the large originally because there were only two on the rack so I chose the bigger of the two thinking it was large

Durable bag a good value

Fits perfectly and very sturdy Velcro straps in my initial rides. Compartments on the inside help with organization as well as preventing items from flopping around. I can tell from the stitching and the zippers that this bag will last!
