50% recycled but why shrink wrap is plastic?
Sure, these standard, Nalgene, widemouth bottles are great, but why boast about 50% recycled plastic and then shrink wrap it in plastic that's almost surely going to be wasted?

great bottle damaged by annoying packaging
The outer 'protective' plastic that was wrapped around the bottle when I received it actually damaged the bottle. It looks like it was glued on in places and small pieces of it that follow a vertical line down the side of the bottle won't come off. I know the bottle is going to get scratched over time anyway so I'm not sure if I'll bother exchanging it, but it's ironic that a more sustainably made bottle is wrapped in plastic that will go straight to the landfill. (And it didn't even serve it's protective purpose.) On the plus side, the pink is a cool color (much more orange in some lights that morphs into a bright pink) and I like the contrasting lid. If it's as well made as my old Nalgene bottles then I know it will last for a long time. I just wish they'd do away with the annoying and contradictory plastic wrap.

Doesn't taste like plastic

I got the lavender one and it so cute and sturdy. I have already dropped it >5 times and as expected from Nalgene it is fine.

LOVE THIS

I ended up getting the flamingo(orange and pink) in a room it’s pink but outdoors it’s a mix of orange and pink! Absolutely stunning! The bottle is big enough for ice cubes and it’s a good size for a decent amount of water. Highly recommend

This bottle holds water

Reviewing this bottle is like spell checking the dictionary. I think everyone knows that these are the baseline, standard water bottles that packers use to compare all other bottles to because they are the best. Durable, light weight, easy to clean, hard to lose, holds water

The BEST!

I have a bit of a Nalgene addiction. I love to gift them and get them. I use them at home, at work, on the trail, while riding my horse and anytime I can. The best water jugs around!

A hiking classic…

Hydration bladders are nice, but sometimes you need structure. This Nalgene bottle is a hiking classic!

You can keep your Stanley, I’ve got my Nalgene.

These things are practically indestructible (cap attachment excluded, but I have a solution for this). I have to repurchase these because I lose them, not because they break. I’ve tried knock off brands and have experienced them breaking in some bad places - a few miles into a hike etc. My Nalgene? Rolled off a cliff ledge and was still intact when I hiked down to get it. I recently purchased a stainless steel ring separately that fits on the Nalgene with a carabiner loop. This should hopefully fix the reason I lose them: clipper to my bag it by its lid, after a few years the lid strap breaks, no longer able to do this, *then* I leave it places. I will purchase these again and again! Love this purple color!!

I love Nalgene bottles!

I love Nalgene bottles. They are the only one that last. I bought the bright orange for work so I knew which bottle was mine. I also got a yeti coffee mug to match.
