Overall the material and quality seems great but the photos are misleading on the collar design. My biggest issue was that the brightly striped band inside the collar is much more visible than the photos indicate. The collar is taller and floppier than photos, so unless zipped all the way up it has to lay flat and expose the bright stripes. Not necessarily a bad look for outdoors, etc. But I ordered these also for casual work pullovers and the stripes are too distinctive to be wearing over and over.
I am 6'1 and 190 lb In a medium fit perfect. The smart will switch shirt is warm, breathable and very comfortable, even directly on my skin. I just love it
Have the 2022 version, and have not tried the new version for 2023-24. This is very warm while being thin, and so far seems to be a lot more duarable that one might expect. Worn backpacking in 50°F weather, kept me warm and sweat-free moving at a brisk pace. I wear over a Vuori t-shirt as the material is a little bit rough on certain areas and I'm sensitive to the zipper.
I have two of these same tops that are a few years old now and they wear like iron and are soft and comfortable. However, this top seems to be made of a thinner, yet tighter weaved material and I doubt it will be as durable as the other two. That being said, the blue color is beautiful and the fit and construction are admirable.
Glad I purchased on sale. Bought the Large black for my husband. Fits snug, but not tight. Hope it holds up well as his old wool 1/4 zip has so many holes in, I cant even fold it any longer. It is also thicker than his old wool 1/4 zip, so I hope he can use it for mtn biking, hiking, skiing.
OK, I'm a reptile. Cold blooded. I need a warmer base layer, so going back to Smart Wool 250. This would be a great product for moderately cool weather. Also depends on the individual and whether you are wearing it while active or just hanging out.
Great base layer option. Warm, comfortable and lightweight. Kept me warm and dry under my coat. Runs a little big as I am usually a XL but went with a L and it fit nice and snug like you would want for a base layer.
Very cozy and fits very well, keeps you in a comfortable temperature when inside/outside, even though its a long sleeve! haven't used in extreme cool (anything under 45) but definitely recommend!
I've you have never used Merino Wool as a base layer, you must try it. I use this for cool weather running all the time and stay very comforatable.
Top of the line quality, comfortable. Great base layer. Just a little expensive but worth it.
